Bobcats War Room- Fourteenth Pick

Post#1 » by Walt Cronkite » Fri May 28, 2010 8:24 pm

We got off schedule a little bit while I was waiting for someone to break the tie or clarify their selection. In the end, Random.org became the decider. We still have enough work days to get to 30 before the draft, so this vote, the final lottery selection, will run until Monday afternoon.

Sell me on some of these guys, I'm not familiar with many of them.

Toss up between Henry and George for me, but I went with Henry.

We need some scoring at the wings and both of these guys bring that to the table, but I like Henry's age, measurements and upside a little more.

Xavier. Taking him would mean that we wasted a pick on Hendo last year but I think Henry has the better chance of becoming an impact player.

If we take Babbit we would trade him immediately for a veteran player and their # 1 pick.

The positive with Xavier is that he just turned 19. He reminds me of another former Kansas player, Paul Pierce. I've seen Orton play a few times on television and I wasn't impressed. Orton and Bledsoe could have been Top 10 picks if they had returned to Kentucky for another season.

Btw: Hassan Whiteside played at Marshall. ;)

What are you trying to point out? I've been writing "Hassan Whiteside, C, Marshall" for weeks...

Calling this one for Henry.

Was more of a pointing it out to others who may not have looked at the other polls. Sometimes people picks players based on their school without actually researching them. That's all.
