Re: Who would the Hawks pick at 24.
I did a quick rundown to see who was still available on the big board (Hayward, White, Seraphin, E. Williams, Warren, Bradley, Pondexter, Lawal).
Of the names I came up with I like several of them, but would roll the dice on Kevin Seraphin in hopes of developing a thick, bargain center because I know we have to compete with Dwight for a long time. Not sure how other Hawks fan will respond, but that's where I would go given the board above.

I'm also on the Seraphin bandwagon. Thought about Dominique Jones, but I think there are many more skilled guards than big men...

^^^ Patterson went 18?
Lawal and E. Williams are the safe picks. both guys are athletic, love playing defense, give you hustle plays, and are hard workers. i can see both of them being legit NBA starters in 4 years, or at worst contributing bench guys. their work ethic alone, i think, will keep them in the league for the next 10 years.

I'm firmly above the Seraphin bandwagon.

I'd probably take Bradley if he was available.

Dominique Jones but it's hard to avoid Seraphin. If picking a big they have to be either taller than 6'10" or weigh more than 250 to really benefit us.

No way would Hayward be available but if he dropped that far I'd easily take him there.
I also would like Avery Bradley and turn him into a lock down defensive PG who can knock down an open shot and let the offense get initiated through opter players.

Talking about French connection, after Antoine Diot (PG, and more real PG than Beaubois) some days ago, it's now Kevin Seraphin: out for 2 to 3 weeks, so no more workout.
Both could have been a good idea with pick 24 and 53, but if they can't show anything until the draft, it would have been hard to choose them.

I don't see Bledsoe going that high or Patterson that low.......
FWIW, lets go with Willie Warren of Oklahoma or Quincy Pondexter of Washington.....Quincy has better size, but Warren is probably got that quicker first step. I would even consider Jordan Crawford of Xavier, who doesn't seem to have a range limit.

IMO Pondexter is better overall and has a brighter future
