Your'e still a couple million short of a max contact with that package. And why would the Raptors take Hinrich when they have Calderon? They are going to pay $18 million to another point guard when they have tons of money committed to Calderon?
They are going to pay $18 million to Hinrich just so they can get Taj Gibson and James Johnson? And they're trading their best player and taking crap in the process? It's not happening.
But the real reason the Bulls will never S&T for Bosh is that the Knicks can beat their offer if need be.
If Lee agrees to go to Toronto, it's over.
If not, we will take back Calderon or even Hedo if we have to block you and it means LeBron + Bosh for us and keeping those two from the Bulls. We can include Eddy Curry and take either of those contracts from the Raptors. Yes we will.
There's really no chess pieces that the Bulls have to beat the Knicks' offer. Noah is not going to be enough IMO because he is only under contract one more year and he's not so valuable that someone will take a bad contract for him, especially while trading Bosh. Again, I doubt they swallow even Hinrich unless they're dumping Calderon.
But truthfully, this Bosh S&T is overstated anyway. If he wants the Knicks, there's just as good a chance that he'll just sign with the Knicks and have an opt-out after 3 to re-negotiate. No big deal.
No, the Bulls aren't short. Hinrich, Johnson, Taj and the pick is more than enough to allow max cap space. Look it up.
You overstate Hinrich's contract so badly it's ridiculous.
He's on a descending contract with two years left. He's always been a very good starting PG who has been playing SG. The Lakers wanted him last trading deadline and another playoff team will gladly take him off Toronto's hands if they don't want to keep him next year.
And you keep writing $18 million (actually $17 million) as if he's not a nice expiring contract one year from now. Nice try there.
Look at the history of sign and trades. The Bulls offer is way more than the typical deal. In the end, it's going to be Bosh who makes the decision with Toronto getting whatever they can. That's why in sign/trades the team giving up the best player always gets screwed. Toronto has almost zero leverage.
I'm just showing you if Bosh wants to play with Lebron, he can go to Chicago and also play with Rose and Noah. NY can't beat that.
The question is: why would Bosh want to go to NY when he can go to Chicago and also play with Rose and Noah?
What I don't understand with Bulls fans is why everybody feels that Noah is somebody who everyone wants to play with. I can't take away that Rose is a marvelous player, but Noah isn't a guy who is a one of a kind player. If Lebron and Bosh sign with the Knicks, we can easily find someone else like Noah, a big that can score and hustle like he does. It bothers me so much when people think that Noah is such a great player that people like Lebron and Bosh would love to have.
