Sign and Trades for Hedo

Post#1 » by DangerCurtis » Sat May 29, 2010 8:45 pm

Lebron is obviously priority number one, but now knowing that Hedo is discontent in the Toronto, I think he'd be a pretty good asset to the Clipper's starting roster.

I was thinking that we ought to use some of the cap space to sign some FAs and then send them to Toronto in exchange. Also, since Hedo stands to make roughly $10 mil or so, that'll leave us with $5 or $6 mil to flesh out the bench a bit more.

I think they'd have to give us a little something extra to take him. While he would fill the SF position for us quite well his contract isn't worth it. He's past his prime so that $10M a year doesn't look good. He would really help a lot in the 4th since we don't have any players who like to finish off the game.

Hedo had the chance last year to make his own choice and now he is CRYING about it. I don't want him on the Clips, he is liable to have a 3 year old Meltdown. Why would you want to get a guy who asked for and received big money and didn't produce?????
I don't get your logic at all. You want Sasha from the Lakers next????

At his best (2 years ago), he'd be a great fit for us. The size/mis-matches, playmaking, perimeter shooting, etc. would all be great at the 3. Unfortunately, he has since regressed and would likely be a big mistake given the size of his contract. I seriously hope we don't end up with him this summer.

I agree w/ you MK, Hedo's best years are past. I would rather put a flyer out on a guy like Gordon Hayward of Butler. I know w/ the 8th pick it is a stretch but, he may be a good pro.

If this was last year, and Hedo just become a free agent, I would've said that I'd be interested. But seeing how he had a big drop in production for no apparent reason last year, and because of his age and big contract, I wouldn't want to take a chance on him. I'd rather go with Joe Johnson instead of Hedo.

I'd rather sign Marko Jaric for the minimum than trade for Hedo and his contract unless DeMar, #13 and a future first were on the way back

I'd trade for Hedo and Bosh for Kaman and filler.

I don't think Toronto has anything I would want to take on Hedo.

Just say no to Turkoglu.
Pretty much, say no to every Raptor(Bosh won't come here) not being on a rookie contract.

Turkoglu's a solid sf in this league, but he's paid way too much and i don't want us to be the team that helps them out.

Like most of you I wouldn't want Turkoglu, he is really over paid and I have no idea what happened with him in Toronto. He really had a quick down turn
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Hedo's conrtact is as worse as Elton Brands contract, there a plenty of other people worth less money who are better than Hedo.

Yes, but he's the Michael Jordan of Turkey!!!

Okay, I don't want him either (even though I've enjoyed watching him in the past.) I would consider a trade that involves Toronto pick(s) though, if they want to dump his salary. That would lower the downside risk for us.

Otherwise straight taking him and his contract would be crazy, no matter how much you like him.

No on Hedo. Dude turned into a cancer on/off court.
