Well, we didn't win, but that just means we have to get even better. Until next time...we'll play the Lakers and it'll be an even better series. Just keep working, keep fighting and you never know what can happen. That's what these Suns have been all about this season: never quit; the only losers are the ones who don't try.
I confess, I am a Lakers fan, by virtue of spending 3 years in southern california. But after watching these suns fight, struggle and ultimately be redeemed; my heart has been won over the past four seasons. Definitely, the Suns are the team I watch, whom inspire and grow with a great leader. I have watched Dudley, Dragic, Lopez...heck the whole roster(well maybe not clark) grow and improve.
And hate me if you must for liking the enemy, in my heart these Suns are my number one team. I rooted for them, and only them in this series. The Suns, not the Lakers, have shown that there is more to a team's success than just winning. All the doubt, the people who said they couldn't have some explaining to do. They all eat raven, because crows are not big enough.
I believe we can go all the way, with a tweak here or an addition there. You wonder though if maybe the coin flipped our way once or twice, that things would be different...But, there is a lot to look forward to. We have the most exciting team in the league, maybe soon we'll have the best team.
Because along the way we tore through those Trailblazers, and victory was sweet in San Antonio, and we showed the Lakers that we won't back down. And besides...I think we now have some unfinished buisness.
P.S Amare, please stay. And you guys here at realgm are f**king awesome.

Great post. I love the suns because of the team chemistry and how much fun they have and the class players they have. The time Shaq was here was tough because they lacked that. That is what made this year great getting back to that.

Really proud of the team. Considering the time span of our turnaround, it's highly improbable achievement for the whole team. We have been learning to play as a team, particularly over the playoffs. We have been constantly adjusting and improving. Just not enough time to make good on earlier mistakes. But the team has still a lot of room for improvement on technical level.
More. Chemistry wise and expectation wise, they overachieved. Talent wise, however, they might have underachieved. Amare, JRich, Frye could play better.
It's about the right combination of game plans and motivation and chemistry. We started the season by starting Frye to maximize Nash's dribble dominated offense, which failed miserably by end of December. Nash got worn out, JRich and Amare were way underused. As cited in my sig, Gentry and coaching got fed up with the results and finally ordered less dribble by Nash which revitalized JRich, Amare and particularly the bench and Dragic so much that we had this success.
Yet, old habits stick stubbornly. Nash would revert to over dribble at times. Amare would get back to his focus problem if not involved on offense early on. Frye and LB would have mental issue around shooting. All these needed to be well addressed and smoothen out with experience. So, it's quite surprising that with adjustments on the run we went so far!

Earlier in the season, i was thinking of which secondary team to support when the suns decide to rebuild, i know, im embarrassed. Smite me for not believing in them and boy did the guys in orange prove me wrong. I am now a full fledged Suns fan. Forget OKC, i am sticking with this team through the highs and lows, long after Nash and Hill retires and until the day i die. I am now a true Suns fan and i couldnt be more proud

Whether Amare stays or go - Kerr needs to dump LB. I don't care if its a bad contract for a bad contract - maybe a guy with two years left for LB's one year but that guy has to go. Doesn't play defense, can't handle the ball, makes bad decisions, can't finish at the basket. And the team has other needs. Don't do a repeat of 2006 and sign everybody - lets make a good decision - dump LB>
