You're not getting the point. Wade has no say in what Lebron or Bosh does in free agency. He's not their daddy.

I'm not a Cleveland fan by any stretch, but I am a HUGE LeBron fan. I would be every upset with him if he left for Chicago, for his own sake. For 2 reasons: his legacy and his chances at winning.

Why not Chicago? He already foolishly chose to be Number 23, and that has always been pretty corny and awkward that he would choose the same number as MJ. Come on, that's something the arrogant d-bag on your high school JV team does, not in the NBA. LeBron needs to make his OWN identifty. And if he moves to Chicago, his only identity and legacy will be under Jordan's shadow.

Plus, Chicago makes very little sense in terms of winning at all. The best case scenario is that Chicago trades Hinrich and/or Deng for a PF/C. And that PF/C would have to be a top notch guy like Bosh or Amar'e. But why would the Suns or Raptors, or even the Jazz (for Boozer) want to make that trade? Deng and Hinrich have horrible contracts. Both are solid players, nothing too great, but both are HORRIBLY overpriced. The Suns, Raptors, and Jazz front office are not that stupid that they would take on such ugly contracts.

I also don't see Derrick Rose being an ideal sidekick. I mean, this seems like a textbook case of 2 players not being good fits with each other. Both need the ball to play their best game. Rose is only useful if he has the ball in his hands, and is making plays and using his incredible court vision. The guy is simply not a shooter. Heck, Mo Williams and his great 3 point shooting skills seems like a way, way better sidekick for LeBron than Rose. LeBron and Rose are basically point guards, but LeBron is in a bulky SF's body.

One more thing about Chicago: I think what Wade said about Chicago is very telling and very important. As much glory as it was to win those titles there, it seems like a miserable franchise. How are Scottie and Michael not part of the team? Meanwhile you look at Wade's team and you've got Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Glen Rice, Rony Seikaly, and every Heat player since that team existed hanging around, either with the team or sitting courtside.

So who do I think are better fits? Resign with Cleveland. Complete the legacy and be loyal to your team. Or, sign with Wade in Miami. Unlike Rose, Wade plays terrific off the ball (See: 2008 Beijing Olympics where he dominated and led the team in scoring). They would win 10 straight titles.

I would hate to see him in New York or New Jersey. Not just because the fans royally suck, but because the tabloids and the sports fan/journalist pressure is so huge there. He would be miserable. He is going to get huge attention no matter where he is, and even in Cleveland he is one of the most recognizable athletes in the world next to Peyton Manning and Yao Ming. But when the attention turns into immense pressure like it does in the NY area, then the game of basketball stops being fun.

I say 1. Stay in Cleveland. 2. Make history in Miami.

Rose IS terrific off the ball. For a guy who can't even shoot 3's, he was assisted on 32% of his shots-- more than a lot of PGs. And it's silly to say he'll never learn to shoot the 3-- he's been focusing on it, and he's shown amazing improvement in his jumper already.

Some say in what exactly? Where they sign? His influence isn't complicated, if he re-signs with Miami someone will join him because they feel it's a great situation to win a championship. That's it.

He has ZERO influence on anywhere else they might want to sign, regardless of his attempts to defame the Chicago Bulls organization or any other team for that matter.

What exactly is he going to tell Lebron James after Chris Bosh signs in Miami? Don't go to Chicago or New York go to the LA Clippers? Lebron will look him right in the eye and tell him see in the Eastern Conference Finals.......

This card is overplayed and overblown. Lebron will ALWAYS play in MJ's shadow regardless of where he plays.

I'd bet my paycheck Sloan would take a Luol Deng or Hinrich on his team for a guy like Boozer. Defensive guys that can chip in with solid productions in other areas. They already have Milsap as well.

I also don't see Derrick Rose being an ideal sidekick. I mean, this seems like a textbook case of 2 players not being good fits with each other. Both need the ball to play their best game. Rose can play off the ball very well, he just doesn't have that 3-pt shot yet, for the most part though this might be true.

This have been discussed numerous times, MJ wanted to own the team and Pippen was brought back with no knees on a retirement contract. We have numerous former players like John Paxson (VP of Ops), Stacy King, Randy Brown, Pete Myers in positions within the organization.

I think he would be better served in Cleveland and Miami could possibly be a better fit. I'll argue the Bulls have better talent all around.

I would hate to see him in New York or New Jersey. Not just because the fans royally suck, but because the tabloids and the sports fan/journalist pressure is so huge there. He would be miserable. He would be fine there, he likes the attention from what I have observed.

If you think Wade has no say, then I have no idea what to tell you. The whole idea of the summit is to get into each others minds, and discuss the FUTURE, If you think he has no say, we'll see in July

:sigh:

I never knew Miami had enough to sign 3 max contracts, and i dont think they would take less money, so hmm. The whole point is either way you see it Wade can influence either of them, say things that COULD convince them. Like I said before its up to LeBron and Bosh. You make it seem like I said Wade has the power to force them to sign in Miami.

See this is where we differ in opinions. The entire point of the summit, IMO, is for Wade to attempt to recruit for Miami. I don't think Wade cares where everyone else goes.

NY is definitely not giving up (amongst other teams) in trying to persuade Lebron to leave the Cavs and sign with their team. http://usershare.net/2DopeBoyz/iw1gio1zfr7h

Johnson-New York
Amare-Miami

Turkoglu is gone from toronto. This makes way for Deng.

Next years ECF: Chicago and Miami.

I think it is underrated the impact that Rose's humble personality and ability to defer to a superstar will impact Lebron's decision. Rose does not have the ego that alot of these other all stars do and would not mind being a #2 on a championship team.

I'm actuallly in this discussion so i can laugh if lebron goes to the wizards or something. The wizz have 23 mill in cap space and apparently not getting any free agents. Fine as long as we have john wall and the space to finagle pieces via facillitating trades

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

that dallas homer poster needs to understand that dallas has no cap space and that no one wants what they have to offer in a sign and trade
