And of course, Bautista cannot be stopped. The HR/BB show must continue.

You can only hope to contain Beastista atm. He was sooooo due for a jack today.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I'm prone to hyperbole, but Bautista's having the most ridiculous season of any Jay that I can think of in the nearly 20 years I've been a fan. The home runs are insane, but the fact that he's throwing in an OBP around .370 makes it doubly so...I want him to keep it up for the full season if only so that I can laugh hysterically at his "most similar" comparisons at season's end.

His swing is legit right now. His most impressive hit of the season was that triple the other day IMO. Opposite field line-drive which I assumed (after seeing it come off his bat) was going to fall in play and then roll to the wall....instead, the ball freaking flew halfway up the wall. It would have been impressive for a LHP to pull a line-drive and have it smack against the wall like that.

Nice? Yes. Would I like him if he were a Jay? Probably.

Is he an opponent, and therefore the target of my ire? Absolutely. :D

But yeah, that crap was funny.

I felt the exact same way. It was a ball he was trying to pull (like everything he hits) so he actually mistimed it, yet it still screamed to the wall and it just kept going. It couldn't have been more than 20ft at it's highest point.
