Yeah, I think he'd be fine as long as he gets minutes. I totally endorse Rev's three-man rotation of bigs. If we had Darko-Cousins-Love, that's 32 minutes each, which is plenty. Hollins can pick up the scraps if needed.

There's a chance Love was more bothered by who he was backing up than the fact that he was coming off the bench. He was originally put on the bench for Hollins, and if I were him that wouldn't sit well with me.

I've maintained that Udoh would be the best fit next to Cousins, but if we're going out of players who played on the Wolves last year I'd go Love.

I think people may be counting their chickens before they hatch, in regards to cousins. Year after year teams (especially struggling teams) fans, think the player they draft is much more than he really is. Happens every year to team after team after team.

Cousins has such high potential to flop. He's fat, questionable work ethic, questionable attitude/maturity. Package K. Love with the #4 for Evans...gotta find a way.

I'm going to be the second vote for Al and Darko. Al with a tough, good D, and smart 5, could really be something. Love is the best trade chip (maybe rubio) this team has. Use it now while the value is still high.

Isn't Al and Darko what we had last year? I'm assuming your assuming that Al will continue to Improve after another season without injury, and that Darko will be in game shape and have a training camp under his belt.

I think that Al could probably get us the biggest net gain, but not until partly through the season.
I'd like to think Love could get us a solid starter, we just need to findsome willing to accept getting love from Kahn. (eewwwwww)
Cousins has the most question marks, but we are also most excited about his potential. Cuz is the wild-card. Do we take the risk?, or do we settle for mediocrity? Is that spelt right, or did I do a mediocure job? Mediocre, Midyokerr? :-?

Hi all!

Long, long time thread watcher first time poster.

I absolutely love Cousins, has great upside, an extremely varied skill set and a tough on the court attitude.

But two problems I see not being discussed in this thread are;

1. He won't be able to stay on the floor more then 20-25min a game until he gets his foul rate down let alone him being in B-ball shape. So we definitely need another center.

2. We need a quicker defender for the 'stretch' 4 that constantly burns us. IMO Al, Pec, Love and Darko cannot fill this role. We need a Tyrus Thomas, Lamar Odom(when motivated) or Varejao type player, someone much quicker but still having size.

I think with Cousins his rookie year you need a four man rotation. I'd go with Cousins, Darko, Love and Varejao who may not be the greatest athlete but is an excellent all around defender.

I see the stretch 4 was thought about already, my bad.

But what do you guys thing Varejao?

And if Bill Laimbeer and his combat basketball are in Philly.

What Id like to see is Darko/#4 (Cousins or Favors)/Pek.

That would leave both Al and Kevin expendable. I know the above mentioned rotation isn't super high on athleticism (which is something Id prefer) but it's not like Al or Love bring that to the table either.

That's kind of our problem. 5 starting quality bigs, none of which are super high on athleticism.
It's like a free for all

5 bigs enter - 2 men victorious

As for the stretch 4 thing, I'd like anthony randolph, who might be easy to get if we are offering Love or Jefferson for him.

These are safe assumptions. That's not a bad starting front-court. Cousins and Pekovic are tremendous risks.
