with kobe playing some of the best basketball of his career, the only way i can see the celtics winning is if rondo has the kind of series he did against the cavs, or the bulls last year, averaging a near triple double........also kg cant be as inconsistent as he was against the magic, hes going to have to show up every night

Totally agree. Rondo is the X factor for Boston and I think Artest and Fisher are the ones for LA.

My dislike for Kobe has run on for YEARS. But the Beantown Douchebags are a new hatred of mine. Except for Ray Ray, I hate the entire team. I am really torn whom to root for, I think Ill side with the Zebra's for this round lol

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

Hmm... This is a tough one.
My dislike for Kobe runs deeper than my dislike for the Celtics, so I'm ultimately rooting for the Celts.

I say Celtics in 6.

Celtics in 6

It really is a close match-up though. Pierce didn't have good numbers against Artest this season, although the career numbers against him are pretty much the same as his normal averages. I think part of this year's performance was due to him coming off injuries around the time of the Laker games. That match-up will be very important.

Same goes for Rondo. He's had very nice games against L.A. this season and the C's need that to continue for them to have a chance. He has to totally control the way the game is being played and not let Kobe slow him down when he's on him for some possessions (which will undoubtedly happen at some point).

L.A.'s size and length will be unlike anything Boston's seen so far but I like how they did against Dwight in the ECF. KG had a very bad series compared to the Cleveland one and he HAS to be aggressive and take shots when they're open. Can't just look to pass every time. Doc made a conscious effort to run some plays for him in Game 6 vs ORL to get him in some type of rhythm and he's going to need to play good D on Gasol if that's the match-up (which it should be since their body types make more sense than putting Perk on someone with a mid-range J).

Boston gets after it defensively. More than the Lakers do. I'm really hoping they win it all. What a suprise that would be after that awful regular season they had.

You guys are fools for rootin for boston. Chances are if the Lakers lose, they're owner Jerry Buss will go after your precious Bosh at all costs and they'll be nothing you can do about it. All CB4 has to say is hey I want to play for the Lakers, then the Raptors will have no choice but to do a sign and trade.

This should be a great series.

At the PF/C spot I give Boston the advantage with KG/Perkins/Sheed/Baby vs Gasol/Bynum/Odom. With Bynum hurt and KGs ability to shut down Gasol, the only way the Lakers win this matchup is if Odom goes off.

At the swing position I have to give the advantage to Kobe/Artest vs Ray Ray/Pierce. Not only is Kobe the best player in this series but defensively him and Artest have the ability to shut down BOS two main scoring weapons.

Now comes the tipping point and that is the Rondo vs Fisher matchup. This is obviously going in Rondo's favor and he should have an amazing series. Basically, if the C's win the championship I expect Rondo will be the MVP.

I'll say BOS in 6.
