Don't you think it's possible that LeBron would not really consider playing in Chicago and that this is an ESPN-driven myth?

I think LBJ is considering all of his options and I dont beleive for a second that LBJ hasnt spoken with Rose about all this.

With that being said, I have no faith in anything that Chris Brussoud says. I dont even pay attention to that Rick Brunson lookalike.

My opinion about what LeBron might do this summer is based off of somthing that I was told by someone who plays for the Bulls. I am somewhat well conncected and everything I have hurd has been very very optomistic.

Really you believe that there is NO chance that he hasnt spoken to Rose about the offseason?

And really you want us to believe that your magical source is supposed to make us this you're getting LeBron?

Again, Yes I think that there is NO chance that LeBron and Rose havnt spoken. Im sure LBJ has spoken to Rose, Wade, Bosh, JJ, Amare, Boozer.....wouldnt you get in touch with these guys if you were Lebron?

If I wanted you to beleive what my magical source said, then I would have posed who it was and what he said. KnicksGod asked me if I about the ESPN reports, the point I was making is that I dont pay attention to that garbage. My opinion is based off of what an NBA player told me.

Please.

You're a Bulls fan and of course your "source" believes he's going to Chicago.

Nobody is going to take this seriously.

It is a lot more likely than anything that LeBron is not going to sign with the Bulls.

There is no benefit to Chicago for him unless you think Rose is a great sidekick for LeBron and honestly, nobody but the less-informed people think Rose and LeBron is an ideal match.

Do you honestly think LeBron has a low BBIQ and would believe a Broussard or McGraw?

The fact of the matter is that Bosh is a much better match with LeBron, as Hollinger and others have said. Good chance that LeBron sees it the same way come July 1.

Ok, I am done for the Day.

Did I not just say that I dont pay attention to Broussard or any of that crap?

NEWSFLASH NY. Bosh is not on your roster.

Well then you're in trouble because only the Broussard-type hacks think that LeBron and a dribble-dominant point guard like Rose would work well together. Nobody else does.

Newsflash: We can sign Bosh outright.

Great observation. But KnicksGod's point is that Bosh is a better fit next to LeBron and he'd probably be looking to be paired with Bosh way before pairing with Rose. That bothers so many Bulls fans because there's only one team, right now (no trades required) who can make that dream come true for LeBron...

If you spoke to anybody inside the Knicks organization they would feel just as optimistic

Occam's Razor. Simplest explanation is the most correct one.

New Jersey could put a better team around Lebron than NY could, and is in the exact same market. How is that not the simplest explanation then?

The same reason he won't go to the Clippers.

This $hit is weird. People trying their best to navigate LeBron from NY by any means necessary but perfectly willing to gift him to Chicago or send Bosh to the Lakers!! This offseason has fueled a hatred I now have towards every non-NY fan. If LeBron magically ends up on the Bulls, a team with NO real assets outside of Noah and Rose than there is no hope for this franchise. The biggest market, the most money, one of the better coaches, a patient GM and a spend happy owner yet we get outmaneuvered by ESPN? Total **** honestly.

In the latest round of news reports, an economist from CHICAGO says that LeBron would be worth over $2.5 billion to the economy there (Wiretap says so). Any word on the impact of the economy of NYC wasn't done.

WTF is the Wiretap reporting this?

^^^^Zacly! And that infuriates me more. Why no analysis on NY? Why does Chi even need analysis? With such useless info why is Wiretap bullhorning it????

The Brian Shaw rumor supposedly was fueled by a text that Phil Jackson sent the Bulls suggesting that Shaw would be a good candidate to consider for their coaching opening. It has been reported that the text was about Shaw and not an indication that Jackson was interested in coaching the Bulls should Lebron sign there, as had been previously reported.

No reason to jump to any conclusions. Lots of coaches try to help their assistants get head jobs.

hey guys, as a long time reader of RealGM and the fourms, long time Knicks fan, and first time contributor to the fourms, I must say that I am getting tired of all the hype ESPN, Bulls and others are giving to players Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose, while ignoring our young players (Gallo/Chandler) and the fact that we can sign another max free agent. I love Derrick Rose and believe he will someday be a great player but there is no denying that his erratic shooing, dominant ball handling attributes match Lebron James, and Joakim, while being an excellent rebounder and hustler, really doesn't do anything else. He has zero post game, no jump shot, and while being a pretty good shot blocker is probably only an average-above average post defender (See Shaq torching him in'10 playoffs or see Glen Davis in '09 playoffs) Noah is also at least 3 years older than Gallo and Chandler. Gallo is gonna be 22, 6-10, can stretch the floor, get to the rim, get to the foul-line, and provide adaqute defense on the perimeter. Thats way more difficult to find than a 3rd year rebounder and hustler with no offense. Wilson provides a Lebron with a guy who can defend and finish in the open court which the Bulls have none of or can be traded along with Eddy Curry to bring in a solid PG or C. That along with the oppourtunity to play with Chris Bosh, who is better than Derrick Rose fits better with Lebron, the oppourtunity to play in the greatest sports city and arena in the world should make this decision a no-brainer. Why play in the "second city," where everything you do will be compared to Jordan? Why not create your own legacy in a city starving for a championship and a transcendent star in basketball.

You have to love a guy with the username InsideInfo who - *SHOCK* - has inside info! Seriously dude, do you think we're fools? What are you trying to pull? Go back to the Bulls board and get out of this thread.

And as for the people complaining about the Chicago hype and lack of NY talk when it comes to Lebron, who cares? Let us not be in the rumors. How many rumors were we involved with in the past that actually ended up happening? We were after every great player apparently and ended up with nobody of worth. So, let us stay in the background hiding. We are waiting patiently for our turn and we'll see how it goes. I don't care if ESPN doesn't mention us in rumors. It has no bearing on this free agent process. It is better off for us, really.
