It is not such a hard concept to grasp.

And your rant was nonsensical, going on about your "reputation" on other boards, as if anybody gives a flying ****. I've seen your posts dude- I've corrected you on the GB and you replied with something like "I was just testing you"....I took you at your word that time--now it's clear that you just don't know what your talking about...like really, Celtic fans can't admit that they're wrong? Have you read your posts?

And I've been on realgm for a while--your a real Lakers fan-- your not a Kobe rider or anything like that--and I respect that--but you seem to have trouble understanding basic things...
Naw buddy I got a clear grip on things.......fact is it's you guys that are clearly delusional to the point none of you make sense. And you've never corrected me on the GB, like I said I throw out bait. You say I don't know what I'm talking about but you say it with no actual hypothesis on why you stated that.

And just say that you don't give a care about my rep. All you guys do is spill uniformed rhetoric on the GB and your board, and you for that matter are only one of a few that even venture to the GB. Most of you want to stay on your own turf and keep up the nonsense that you spew..........most of it from a homer stand point anyway.

Breath easy man........and remember who's board your visiting.

When have I not made any sense?

And if you want to stick with the baiting story, whatever go for it, I'm not going to try to show you up on your own board.

You're right--I should have said I don't care about your rep. Just like you should stop saying you guys as if what other Celtic fans say has any bearing on what I think--because each board has their share of crazies, I'm sure you know that....

Breath easy man........and remember who's board your visiting.

Your right- my bad--it's in poor taste to call someone out on his own board...peace man.

Here's the thing bballcool34, I'm smart enough to know that your comments and thoughts are separate from that of your fan base. But like I said earlier......the complex your fan base carries rubs me the wrong way. I mean how can I waste time talking ball with uneducated fans ? When I see comments like this on your board........

How the hell is this even making sense ? So winning in the playoffs makes you complacent ? Genius

Or this gem right here.....

So from this quote we can't even win on our home court and further more lose a twice ?

This is utterly stupid and next to not having a brain.

How is a prediction uneducated. It is a prediction of what will happenin the future. For the Celtics to win. They have to win it on the road. Also If the Celtics are going to win the seires in my mind they need to do it in 6 games. I don't think the C's can win more then three staright wins in a row which is why they need a split inthe first two games then LAkers will win one in Boston and the C's return and win again in LA.

Thats not uneducated that a prediction of future events. YOU can have a different prediction of future events. But getting all relied up beacuse someone thinks there team will win. thats what fan bases do. I'm sure in 2008 you thought your team would win and you must have predicted teh amount of games it would take. ...was that uneducated?

I'd definitely agree with this. I don't see anyway the Celtics can either take both games 1 & 2 in LA or take all three in Boston. I think they'll need to come back to LA up 3-2 and then would have to win game 6 because I don't see them winning a game 7 at Staples.

As far as being testy to Celtics fans on this board, true but not any more so than you guys are to Laker fans posting on the Celtics board. But that's the way its' supposed to be, Lakers vs Celtics is a great rivalry but it isn't and never will be a friendly one. :D

Dude re read your quote and tell me which form it's written in. You used adjectives to describe your so called prediction. You talked as if you knew exactly how it's going down. If you wanted to make your prediction have some validity you should have said things such as "maybe", or "can they". The minute you used the word "I see"..........you blew all common sense to making a prediction. You NEVER cast any doubt.

And speaking to the point of 08, hell we had 3 home games but I'm not too damn naive to think we would win them. Fact is history has been against the home team winning all 3 games, we needed to win one in Boston and didn't and that's the reason why Boston hoisted the crown and we didn't.

In the 2-3-2, it's only been 2 times that a home team won all 3 at home. And only 1 time that the visitors did it and that was the 2001 Lakers. So we're talking 3 out of 24 tries.......12.5%, and that's counting the Laker wins. And it's only 8.3% for the home teams winning, history is kicking the home teams ass up and down the floor. It don't look good for the Celtics either.

That's fact..........face it.

Welcome to the NBA Finals.

**

Men, we are on the plain where our forefathers bled and died to ensure the legacy of our people. We have finally made it to the mountaintop of Kings. Battles have been won and lost, and after a strong show of resolve in our last two battles with the Kings of the Southwest, we faltered in our recent conflict.

Disgusting. Are we to let something like this discourage us? Surely our testicles exist in this world of Irish Madness! As Laker Warriors, are we the ones to hand the championship to that wretched beast from the East (KG, Paul Pierce, Rajon and the like)? I for one will be damned! Revenge begins tonight, and we will NOT allow them to emerge victorious! Time and energy is on our side!

After making our way through the West, we have grown stronger. We have withstood the best punches of the best teams in the league, only to stand strong above them. Even though we are stronger than we have ever been, it has reached the point where our current enemies from Boston have grown expectant of victory! Do not let the splendid play of Rajon Rondo fool you men! We may be outnumbered, outhustled and outscored, but our fighting spirits are stronger! Only a champion forces a force greater then theirs to struggle to match our power! Raising their level to heights not yet seen in these Playoffs, they surprised us in our last battle, and yet we battled them to a standstill, before a critical error gave them the victory.

The 2008 NBA Finals tortured us yes, but are we to retreat into the obscurity of a shocked team? NO! We have fought hard in the months since then, and emerged to the top of the league – as NBA Champions! Led by the excellence of Pau Gasol, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom, we will line up for what many thought will be our last stand, and WE WILL WIN!!!!

Men of Los Angeles....

WE MUST ATTACK XERXES (Boston) AS THOUGH WE WERE SPARTANS!

Do we allow foreigners to come into our land and desecrate what we hold dear to us? Some say that a comeback is madness. I say to he that utter this blasphemy......NEVER! THIS IS LOS ANGELES!!

Rondo: Choose your next words carefully, Kobe. They may be your last as MVP.
Kobe Bryant: [to himself: thinking] "Failure and loss"?
[Kobe unsheathes and points his sword at the overgrown Leprechaun’s throat]
Rondo: Madman! You're a madman!
Kobe Bryant: Failure and loss? You'll find plenty of both at home.
Rondo: No man, Laker, Cavalier, or Magician, no man threatens a Celtic!
Kobe Bryant: You bring the banners and rings of retired champions to my city steps. You insult my Centers. You threaten my people with shame and failure! Oh, I've chosen my words carefully, Celtic. Perhaps you should have done the same!
Pierce: This is blasphemy! This is madness!
Kobe Bryant: Madness...?
[shouting]
Kobe Bryant: This is LOS ANGELES!
[Kicks the messenger down the well]

THE LAND OF MAGIC AND KAREEM!! THE LAND OF WILT CHAMBERLAIN AND JERRY WEST!! THE LAND OF THE IMMORTAL GEORGE MIKAN THAT STARTED IT ALL!

Allen A thousand odds of the Celtic Dynasty descend upon you. Our three pointers will blot out the sun!
Bynum: Then we will bang in the post!

WE WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO TAKE IT AWAY FROM US!! WE HAVE COME TOO FAR TO TURN BACK NOW!!!

Kobe, the entire Laker Nation cries out to you. It is upon your shoulders to guide us to the promised land. Listen to those calling out for the heads of you and your men. Our march cannot end at the feet Boston empty-handed again! You must wake up and flood the hearts and souls of the entire league with your greatness if we are to rise again among the Champions! Sasha has his many excuses (a vagina), but you have none! The entire team is on your back! You are our champion Kobe! You must reawaken! Now is the time!!

Your warriors are ready. This time around, we will not be as easily pushed around. We have a little more help this time.

Kobe Bryant: Lakers! Prepare for glory!
Perkins: Glory? Have you gone mad? There is no glory to be had now! Only retreat, or surrender or death!
Kobe Bryant: Well, that's an easy choice for us, Celtic! We Lakers never retreat! We Lakers never surrender! Go spread the word. Let every Warrior assembled know the truth of this. Let each among them search his own soul. And while you're at it, search your own!

Even as we look deep into the eyes of defeat, we must hold our ground! We no longer have the protection of our homeland on our backs, for we are in enemy territory now! This is easily the most hostile territory for a Laker Warrior to be in, as the war between the feuding tribes has stretched back to the days of our forefathers. We cannot allow these brutes to taste victory from our hands! Don't give them any breathing room!

Do we really want to lose to this?!?!

I'll be damned!

Davis: All that God-King Auerbach requires is this: a simple offering of earth and water. A token of Los Angeles' submission to the will of Garnett.
Kobe Bryant: Submission? Well that's a bit of a problem. See, rumor has it the Blazers have already turned you down, and if those former contenders and, uh, floppers have found that kind of nerve, then...
Gasol: We must be diplomatic.
Kobe Bryant: [ignoring Gasol] ... and, of course, Lakers have their reputation to consider.

There is no peace unless victory is attained. We must fight to win this game, for the odds are truly against us from the outset.

Celtic General: Lakers, lay down your weapons!
[a spear flies out and impales him through the chest, and he falls out of the saddle, dead]
Kobe Bryant: Stupid Celtic! Come and get them!

Fine. You want this conversation here? So be it. I'm calling you out because you pretend to be Mr. Goody Two Shoes on the Celtics board, yet turn face and call the people you "say" you want to have a polite convo with idiotic and moronic here on the Lakers board. Now you have the galls to call me yellow? How ironic. Obviously my friends over at the Celtics board were oblivious to what you were saying about us because they were surprised when I posted what you said here on the Celtics board.

By the way, I'm free to "lurk" on any board I want to because it's an internet message board. I've never trolled on your boards and have no intention to. I'm only posting here because you called me out.

Now, I'm calling YOU out. Come over to the Celtics board and defend your actions to the Celtics posters who thought nicely about you.

To the Laker forum mods, I apologize for this, I have no intention of trolling on your boards, but since DEEP called me out by saying I only post against him on the Celtics board, I simply obliged him and now I've said what I have to say.

Remember when we had Sasha on Ray Allen in the '08 finals to guard against the game winning shot and Allen blew right by him? Can't wait to see Kobe on Allen and Artest on Pierce. The advantage is hugely in our favor. Remember when Turiaf was our first big off the bench and we got slaughtered on the offensive boards? Can't wait to see Odom do some work. Bynum on one leg took a crap all over Robin Lopez, hope his knee is ready for one more series.

I can't wait for thursday.......

Ok so if Perkins gets another technical foul he is suspended for 1 game. Does he also get suspended a game for every technical foul after that? I can remember what the rule was. In saying all this, Bynum and Gasol should get really physical with him.

I think after he gets suspended for his 7th technical, he gets suspended for every other technical he commits. So he gets suspended for the 9th, 11th, 13th, etc.

Look man I'm not going to play "tag". You had your say I had mine..........it's over. I have no intention or feel the need to rectify myself to you or your boys. I must have struck a nerve, because you keep saying I came off as a goody two shoe guy. Just because I came civil to your board ?

Further more I NEVER used the word moronic.........and I called your fellow posters opinions idiotic, I NEVER called you guys idiots. Big difference man, the words I used were "chumps" and "clowns". You guys are actually butt hurt over that ? Give me a F'ing break. I re read my own post for clarity, so that in a nut shell is what got your panties in a wedgie.

And I only posted 3 post on your board, how in the hell am I a goody two shoes?
Plus don't go acting like you guys haven't come here acting all goody goody also. I've read plenty of Celtic fans postings on our board acting the same damn way..........miss me with that garbage.

But whatever man, I done responding .

Technical fouls 1-5: $1,000 fine for each tech

Technical fouls 6-10: $1,500 fine for each tech

Technical fouls 3-4: $1,500 fine each

Technical fouls 5-6: $2,000 fine each (with a warning letter sent once the fifth tech is reached)

KOBE!!! TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT WE WRENCH VICTORY FROM THE HANDS OF THE RED SCARE!!!!!! GET MAD!!!!

One of the great inabilities of the Lakers back in 2008 was to spread the floor while effectively playing defense. Cracking Boston's zone is fairly complicated but there are some possibilities. I just wish the Lakers had a dead-eye shooter to play at SG like Hinrich to also provide another ball-handler and guard Rondo.

This is going to be a brutally low scoring series unless Kobe goes off. Offensively I can't see the team providing far greater point totals than they did in 2008. We just haven't improved in that regard which is a shame. Defensively, it's a different story.

I'm still not sure who the Lakers want to pick on on defense. I'm going to guess it's Allen.

They can actually pick on two, KG with his rickety knees and Allen has no defense anyway. Scoring wise we don't need to worry about offense. This is the biggest misconception, the Suns series was a facade. Why do people feel we can only function scoring over 100 points ?

Also Boston's defense is flawed, the teams they played just couldn't balance the floor on them. Miami was a one trick pony.....running iso's for Wade ain't gonna cut it. The Cavs running a 1-4 spread for LeChoke wasn't going to cut it, the Magic were basically a perimeter team.........see where I'm going ?

All 3 didn't have enough attack in their offenses, all were codependent on one thing happening. When it didn't they faltered. All the Celtics did was sit back and forced them to do things they didn't normally do.

With the Heat, the Celtics forced Wade to facilitate their offense, they didn't have a play maker to get him the ball in scoring positions. Plus he didn't have a consistent scorer next to him.

The Cavs were flawed too, the lack of interior scoring from Shaq and the other bigs put tremendous pressure on James. Williams having to check Rondo took away from what little offense he has. He simply felt the pressure from all fronts, personally and against Rondo. When he faded this caused James to have to go into the same mode as Wade........again another team that couldn't force Boston to work.

The Magic........nuff said, Howard's lack of post skill made it easy to defend the Magic. You don't have to double him. The Magic lacked a "go to" guy, I stated this on the GB in the Magic game threads. Carter's inability to consistently dominate cost the Magic. Their vision when they got him was to have him be the scoring threat that would open the middle for Howard's dunks and Nelson's penetration while opening the perimeter for Lewis.

Problem is they could never establish any tempo on the Celtics, they got in ruts and didn't have a guy who could get buckets for a certain stretch of a game.

The Lakers don't fall into any of these teams shoes, yes we lack serious perimeter shooting on a consistent basis but we have enough guys that can hit in stretches. We have enough interior game to make the old and small front line of the Celtics who suck rebounding the ball....work.

Bottom line if Celtic fans think all we wanna do is run up and down the floor............you have another thing coming.
