In the latest round of news reports, an economist from CHICAGO says that LeBron would be worth over $2.5 billion to the economy there (Wiretap says so). Any word on the impact of the economy of NYC wasn't done.

Also just to throw a little more gas to the fire, Joakim Noah was saying that no one goes to Cleveland on vacation. No offense to Chicago, but I don't think too many people vacation in Illinois. I havnt been under a rock. I know (at the very least) the basics of what the Knicks situation is. I just think that alot of how you guys fair will be linked to what Lebron does this off-season. But I am glad that you've been paying attetion to the options. Solid work.

Agreed. Donnie pretty much did something that almost everyone thought was impossible. He's put us in a great position for the future.

Ah...good morning NYers. I hope you guys slept well. I sure as hell did. Now to get back to the discussion, its not about smugness or any of that mess. I feel as though I have been cordial to all Knick fans over the past few weeks. But Im not about to sit here and argue a point that isnt worth arguing. Here is my take on the Knicks situation....just in case anyone wants to accuse me of "not understanding".

- Knicks have room for two MAX CATS...
- Knicks have a future superstar in Gallo...
- New York is New York. Nough said...
- New York has players that they may be able to parlay into decent role players
- Donnie and the gang have been working on this for the past two years. No way they screw this up.

If I missed anything, please pardon me. The part about this that I find so comical is that someone accused me of making a bold prediction when the entire premise of how NY will fair this summer is based on one big a$$ed bold prediction in itself. Guys listen....I really hope that your plan pans out this summer. I really do for reasons that I have stated previously. But dont go getting your panties all up in a bunch just because NY is the only one buying the NY hype right now.

I can not for the life of me genuinely believe that Bulls fans really are thinking that they are considered and really in play? It's kind of surreal how the thread over its course turned in to a bitch fest.

Cleveland (hometown hero cough cough Akron hero makes good story)
New Jersey Nets (build a new franchise from scratch in Brooklyn flys in the face of his "I want to win now statements"
Knicks best city in the media/finance capital of the world starving for a basketball championship and seemingly doing every and anything for the last 2 yrs that indicate they are MAJOR players for his services!

What do you think he's going to do?

Trust me...Bulls fans arnt the only ones that have turned this into a bitch fest. But you read the whole thread so...I suppose you already know that. But as far as the second part of your statement...maybe Chicago really isnt in play for James. And if thats the case, as I have said over and over and over again, we arnt gonna sink without him. Going into this off-season, we were not really even thinking about James. It was all about Bosh, Wade, or JJ with a second tier player to join one of them. But the media machine has made believers out of many of us and as far as Im concerned..thats okay. Who are you guys to tell us that we cant believe that we may actually have a shot??

I think that most Bulls fans believe that he will stay right where he is. If you go over to the Bulls board and poll the likelihood of LBJ coming to Chicago, Id be willing to bet money that they YES option would have less than 40%. That means that less than half of our board actually believes that he is coming. It just so happens that a greater percentage of us dont believe that he is going to NY either. And in my honest opinion, that is what has you guys all up in arms.
