I think it's pretty likely the front office knows that Love and Al don't work, but need to pretend like it does so the value of those two doesn't tank in trades. I think that Al will be much better next season, but doesn't fit in with the vision for the team. I propose waiting until he can prove he's All-Star material before giving him up if the value isn't there. I guess I'm saying that I know Al will be better, so why sell him now when you know that value will go up.
I like love as a player, and his ability to strech the floor fits better with the vision for this team, but his overall laziness on D leaves me to believe he might be more likely to be moved. He will lead the league in Rebounds once he gets his minutes.
I really have a hard time with our big man overload, because each is very talented and All-Star likely; I really like both Love and Al, but their value isn't' high on this team with the run-n-gun, athletic, Defensive, Triangle style that is trying to be employed. It's like we're trapped into selling low on a high prospect because of their fit with the team. I wish I could think of a funny John2jer/Devilz analogy, but it's too late for that.
