Nevertheless, I'm all for bringing Rudy over because he's a versatile ball player and not only is that the type of player Rambis and Kahn like, but it's also the type of player we're lacking. I still don't think we need to give up the #23 for him though. I doubt the Blazers would even be much interested in another late first without another deal to package up. They have enough young players not getting playing time as is.

Portland already has the #23. If they move Rudy it will be to move up and get Patrick Patterson. If he's on the board at #16 I imagine we'd be happy to offer Rudy to get that pick. Rudy for the #23 seems pointless.

I'm down with either of those moves RCG. I think George is gone by 16, but that aside while I like Anderson, if we got Henry that might be too much at SG that would need minutes to develop. I like the idea though.

Is there any possibility of getting Granger, Big Al, and Iggy together on this team? I was thinking of something around the following:

MIN IN: Granger, Iggy
MIN OUT: #4, #16, #23, Flynn, Gomes, Hollins

Reasons: Minnesota gets two stars around the age of Al, who can make the team competitive.

INDY IN: #4, #16, #23, Flynn, Gomes, Hollins
INDY OUT: #10, Granger

Reasons: Might be too much value going to Indy, I'm not sure. I think 16+23 for 10 is a done deal. Indy saves a bunch of money on (waiving) Gomes + Hollins + cap, a potential star to replace Granger in the #4, and a young PG in Flynn.

PHILLY IN: #10
PHILLY OUT: Iggy

Reasons: If Iggy is valued close to Al, which is close to 7+Prince, I guess that's close to 10 + Cap. I'm open to trying to find a way to fit Love here, instead, if that helps.

Resign Darko. Bring over Pekovic? Or use him to fill out gaps in the trade.

NOTE: I haven't really put it through a trade checker to see if the money would work out or anything, but it's just a thought.

I don't think Indy or Philly do those deals. In one portion you have the 16 and 23 included, and in another you don't. I think they woul dneed to be included, and they still probably wouldn't be accepted. Also, sessions would be alone at the point this year. I think that lineup is pretty sexy, but a huge pipe dream. p.s.-brewer cant play SF, so Iggy would need to be backup sf wile brew is backup 2 and ellington gets whatever is left.

I think Indy would do that , the fans I'm not so sure. Flynn = 10, 4+16+23+Gomes has got to equal Granger. I'm not so sure the Iggy isn't worth a little more than a 10 though.

Interesting. Am I wrong to think that Big Al ~~ Iguodala? If so, I would think that Iguodala ~~ Prince + 7. In which case, pure cap + #10 is pretty much like downgrading 3 spots in exchange for saving Prince's salary-- which in a draft where 6-15 are pretty close, I thought that was pretty fair. So is Iggy> Big Al or even >>Big Al?

I know that Sessions would be pretty much alone for a year, but maybe we can get a stopgap vet until Rubio comes over. Else, we could try to play Ellington as a triangle shooting PG, and have Iguodala bring the ball up .

I'm a little confused about the Indy side, too. Assuming Flynn~~ #10; #4, #16, #23 seems like something we'd offer for Turner. I think a lot of people would prefer Turner (young, rookie scale, might be better) to Granger? But, just by including Gomes/Hollins, this is not fair value for Granger? It saves them money, too, and gives them a PG, which they need. What am I assuming wrong?
