For some reason, I feel we'll take both games in LA and send the Lakers and the world into a shocking frenzy.

Re: NBA Finals Game #1 - Celtics @ Lakers
The two things I was worried about when the playoffs started were Lebron and the Celtics, good thing we only had to face one. As long as there is focus and the foot remains on the pedal from 6pm PST to the final series buzzer I feel confident. As well Pau has to really take it to them from the time, and lastly and most importantly Artest has to contain Paulette and not get frustrated because she will be going thru her laundry list of tricks to get Artest out of the game somehow.
The Celtics IMO made a mistake letting House go that guy gave them another deadeye from deep that has one of the quickest releases in the game, he gave the Lakers fits. So deep all the LAL have to worry about is Ray, because Paulette needs about 5 full seconds to get his slow azz shot off and the D should be tight though to not let him get those wide open looks he was getting two years ago.
To me the biggest matchup is Paulette, she can terrorize us on the FT line if Artest can't contain her somewhat. As important is Artest not getting ejected from a game or the series, because she'll be egging Artest on all series to blow himself up. If Artest can hold her down, this series is a strong convincing Lakers Championship. If not, anything can happen.

Just wondering... why bash a fellow Laker fan? He took the time to write a nice and lengthy, meaningful post and you reply with this. Chill.
I remember when Kobe was not even in the starting lineup AND he made the all star team. That buffoon Del Harris didn't know squat and kept Kobe on the bench.

Celtic fans already bitching about the ref crew..........like that wasn't expected. Optms was right, we need to give these fools a shipment of tissues. They're going to need them for the next week and a half.

why would boston fans need them? unless they're tears of laughter because they can't believe that's the best team in the west.

Look beantownski, you guys are a JOKE........stop living revisionist history. And stop bringing down the quality of our GT. If you're not offering anything positive to the thread back out. All jokes aside it's time to discuss ball, something your fan base can't really seem to do.
Cause you're the best at EVERYTHING, wow us lucky Laker fans should be sooo happy to just be here.

a joke team just beat down the two best regular season teams in the league in back to back series! get out of here with that thrash.
all playoffs long the lakers haven't played anyone who has the size to match them. they played all team swith no big men (ok city had none, jazz had just boozer who is undersized, and the suns had stat who is a weak big man). the celtics have the size and they play better defense than any of the team the lakers have faced. how are the lakers going to stop rondo and ray allen when they're both on the floor? kobe can't cover them both. and don't say sasha and fisher...they can't guard a chair.

Why don't you let them play the game instead of the "what if"
Both teams earned the finals appearance and you act like Boston is the only one who deserves it.

Re: NBA Finals Game #1 - Celtics @ Lakers
Celtic fans aren't as bad as Suns fans surprisingly. They're close but not on the same level of cockiness as Suns fans were.
Anyway Pau better show up tonight and play big. The Lakers cannot afford to have Pau disappear like he did against the Suns after game 2. We all say a different Pau after game 2 and Kobe had to take over with monstrous games to make sure the Lakers won. I don't see KG being a huge factor this year like he was in 08 and I think Ron will play some of the best D against Pierce. The dude is going to be motivated and prove to everyone why he truly was brought to LA.
Man I am so pumped for tonight. Time is going by so slow right. LETS GO LAKERS!

I agree, we can talk Kobe all we want, but Pau has to at WORST push his matchup with KG. I personally think he can win it, but he needs to push it at the very least. I think he can get in KG's head, not by talking, but with solid play and not getting flustered. Don't give into KG's mindgames. That's when he begins to excel. He's damn good at it, but it's also something opposing players can shutdown.
I think we see a whole new animal in Artest tonight like you said Skyhook. As crazy as this man is, he recognizes the opportunity he has and has taken the responsibility for shutting down Paulina. As long as Pierce isn't getting the calls everytime he falls to the wood, I expect to see Ron have a superb performance tonight

Fixed!

but I think using chairs is cheating unless you are a mascot even if you're a masshole.

A very reasonable opinion ... and also a good example of why Boston fans are pretty concerned about the refs.
