Re: The LeBron Thread
^I wouldn't even go that far. It looks like a really casual interview where he asked about Bloomberg, he asked about MJ, and he asked about the Clippers. The only thing that LeBron said about the Bulls was that he was a fan of MJ and the Bulls growing up. He didn't say a thing about the Bulls current team or his interest in the Bulls. And King didn't ask him.
The only team whose roster they talked about, for no reason really, was the Clippers. LeBron was being nice and saying nice things about the Clippers. I highly doubt he has any interest in the Clippers either.
Larry King walked away thinking the Bulls have a good shot. He also thinks that was the first time anybody had ever found out that LeBron loved MJ growing up. Of course that's not true. He also thinks LeBron still loves the Bulls. None of this is true.
This is much ado about absolutely nothing.

Re: The LeBron Thread
It's actually bad for the Bulls' chances that LeBron was a fan of MJ growing up, because then he definitely saw how the management treated MJ, Pippen, and PJax.
What am I saying... Bulls never had a chance to get Lebron anyways.

I am 98% sure of this too. They are not in the running for LeBron.
Even if BC had a stroke and decided to take Deng for Bosh, I think that LeBron would be hesitant about going to Chicago over staying in Cleveland even.
I think the MJ Shadow kills the thing from the get-go.
I think it's Broussard and other hacks looking for a quick way to try to knock the Knicks off the top spot once the Cavs went down.
Of course the Bulls fans are eating it up. I guess that's no surprise really -- that's their right -- but I think they're being misled.

IMHO, they're finding people to give them false hope about LeBron and each new spokesperson fits a different human shortcoming:
Simmons because he's angry.
Broussard because he's jealous.
Mike McGraw because he's gullible.
Larry King because he's senile.
They just need to find Sneazy and Cowardly to tell them LeBron is coming to Chicago and fill out all the various failures that afflict human beings.

Brons comments make me believe hes leaving
I think right now hes in damage control mode for his reputation. No where in his interview with Larry is he addressing management and his loyalty. He always addresses the fans. Right now he's trying to make it look like it was a hard decision to leave when its time. Lebron is a business man first. His decision is already made. Theres too much riding on his decision to be a spur of the moment decision.
Cleaveland has that advantage NOT edge. Comfortability, wow what a setup! Lebron is looking for his next challenge not being comfortable in his hometown. Your hometeam has ran out of options in improving. He has a chance to pick his teamates in NY. Whats not to love?

If he doesnt put another Game 4 performance he will be fine. Imagine Derek Jeter ending his career as Lebron is in his prime. He will OWN this town.

Re: The LeBron Thread
One thing nobody seems to mention in the Lebron argument is.....Cleveland and Chicago are in the same freaking conference!!! No way, he does Cleveland that dirty, just to move a couple blocks away lol (Miles)
2nd... Boston fans chanted New York Knicks the elimination game, New York is a topic, no matter how you put it interested or not, notice hes almost trying not to mention New York, as if hes hiding something, Im telling you man, this Bulls stuff is all smokes screen, and stuff....and Last look what Davis Stern just said...
David Stern seemed to back away from his earlier statements that supported LeBron James remaining in Cleveland.
He described the seven years that James has already spent as a Cavalier a "long time."
Stern also said that he is not concerned that James' interview with Larry King will distract from the NBA Finals.
The commissioner said that he has been assured at "the highest level" that there will not be a formal summit among this summer's top free agents.
Translation : I dont think you should resign with the cavs for the extra money Lebron you gave Cleveland a good 7 years, you guys didnt win, you should go to the big city, and make the best city in the world, competitive again, so the NBA can get really interesting.

I think you mean to say that they're in the same division.
But yeah, we talked about that a little earlier in the thread. The Bulls (MJ's Bulls) are responsible for the most famous defeat of the Cavaliers in their history. The Shot over Ehlo is considered to be one of the greatest game winners of all time. That was against the Cavaliers.
Can you imagine Lebron teaming up with Noah...a guy who trashed and mocked Cleveland throughout their series? Who Cavs fan made public enemy #1 because he insulted their beloved player AND their city?
Would ANYBODY be able to defend Lebron's decision to go to the Bulls after all that? That would be pretty damn classless.

Alot has been made out of looking for a PG to play alongside Lebron but why don't we just let Lebron play PG like Magic Johnson? A lineup with Lebron at PG allows us to keep Gallinari at SF where I think Gallinari is more suited for than at PF.

well thats why douglas is the perfect pg...doesnt need the ball but can shoot it and plays good d which is all we need. the problem is on the defensive end where as quick and athletic as lebron is he isnt going to be able to stop steve bnash paul or deron williams.

Just said he's coming on tonight. I don't know if it's a re-run of that interview.

Re: The LeBron Thread
Anybody know why Obama has to throw his 2 cents out there for any of LeBrons possible destinations? First he comes out and says how he wants him to go to Chicago, then says how great it would be if he stays in Cleveland. Between this and the comment he made when the Yanks went to the white house im thinking its possible that he has an anti NY agenda for some reason.
Either way it seems like any big sports story he has to comment on it like he is an analyst. Not for nothing he seems like a good guy and all and wants to turn the country around but does every sports story need an Obama opinion when there are such serious problems in the country and world?
