Where will RB M. Turner be in 08 ???

Has anyone heard any rumors on who would have interest in signing RB M. Turner (currently San Diego) to a contract and for how much ???

I dunno about this off-season but last off-season I recall Tennessee, Houston and Green Bay expressed some interest. Those teams could express interest again.

I think he will command some good money considering he is fairly young with some great experience, but without all of the wear and tear on the body. He won't be a Charger next year.

I'd like him in Green Bay, but Grant's looking like a legit starter (not that Turner doesn't). Turner deserves to be a starter somewhere, getting the majority of carries and it probably doesn't happen in GB.

He's from Chicago, his agent is based in Chicago, the Bears nearly drafted him, and the Bears have a major need at RB. Makes too much sense--if they can afford him, which they might not be able to do.

That would be interesting if Houston signed Turner. They'd have Schaub and Turner, both previous back-ups for star players(which Michael Vick was at the time).

Would Houston spend money again on a RB after signing RB A. Green last season ?

I know A. Green wasn't productive last season because of age (30?) and was injuried.

Can they afford both under the salary cap ??

Will the quality of backs in this years draft affect his value? And by how much?

we have salary cap, but he is a restricted free-agent so we might have to give up picks to aquire him, and that could be costly.

I would love to get him, but if the price was right. I think the Bears have more needs at the offensive line, safety, wide receiver, and quarterback position than running back. Benson can be a productive running back with some decent blocking, and you have to attribute some of Turner's success to Lorenzo Neal.

Those two star players were traded for each other on draft day as well.
