I don't think Beasley is all that bad. I think he needs to be in the right situation. Dooling and or expiring isn't enough for the guy.

Wade's still not going to Phoenix.

I doubt it ever influences future ridiculous wiretaps, but thanks for really giving it to em via twitter, Booz (you have 4+ times as many followers as RealGM's twitter, haha.)

I think the Heat believe they can land Wade, Lebron, and Bosh/Amare otherwise it would make no sense for them to give away Beasley for nothing. Mark my words on this. The Heat know something, they smell blood. Getting rid of Beasley would allow the Heat to sign Wade + 2 max or almost max contracts if they released everyone else not under contract.

He's been waiting for 3 years, and now all he would have come up with is a Beasley for Dooling trade, thank god, the Nets turned this down, please be smarter than this Riley. I'm really starting to ask myself if Riley is overrated, if he really wanted to dump Beasley just for fugging Dooling without even giving away Cook and Jones I'm starting do doubt his ability to handle the GM spot. He needs to work some miracles this offseason, otherwise he's a fail.
Wade is the Real MVP. No one can deny it.

lol what makes you think he really offered this? dont believe everything you hear/see in the interwebz....
only way I see this actually bein true is if Riles already got a wink wink behind the scenes from bron, bosh/amare and wade to sign together in Miami - which would obviously make sense and would actually be a good thing. Otherwise...meh, just dont see it. Especially considerin the main source is a dude named "Ryen Russillo"

I hope its true, BECAUSE, if it is true indeed that means Riley has something locked, like most here said, Riley aint that dumb, this only means he got Wade locked and probably Amare. This is good news, one way or the other im 100% sure that the Heat wont come empty handed after this summer. 100%.

Also, this reports are never complete... maybe it was Beasley WITH JJ and cook, or one of the two, but they only mention Beasley because hes the main piece. Well see, but imo this is good news.

Re: Speculation: Heat made a Beas for Dooling offer?
Per Ira - Heat NEVER offered such deal
http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_basketball_heat/
EDIT: Just saw the WORST trade proposal EVER in my life. Guy's claiming #33 for #18 and Beas is a nice deal. Just WOW.
Q: Why give up Beasley for nothing to clear cap space? He still has more talent than 90 percent of the players in the league and his big crime is smoking pot and being immature? Gee, how shocking for a 20-year-old. Don’t sell an asset at the low. We’ve seen the moments. Find a way to make him become the player he can be. This offseason is about more than one year. – Gary.
A: No one said the Heat is. After that report came out on ESPN’s podcast, I did some checking. Foremost, the Nets weren’t interested. But a source familiar with the situation said the Heat never made the offer. So the Heat isn’t cashing in on Beasley, at least yet. But if there is one year to maximize cap space, this is it. So it certainly is the type of move that yet could be considered. My point is that clearing $5 million in cap space by parting with Beasley doesn’t seem worthwhile. But if you can create additional space, then I think there might be something to be said about being able to otherwise spend $7 million or so on the player of your choice. This is a chapter that will remain open through the start of free agency, no matter the denials. The Heat is far less concerned about Michael’s past than a team that would be acquiring him in a trade.

Re: Speculation: Heat made a Beas for Dooling offer?
Riley either offered ...
- Beas for Dooling + #3
- Beas + #18 for Dooling and #3
- Or nothing at all
The man has too much pride (and common sense) to dump his #2 overall pick for nothing just 24 months after drafting him. As much as we're disappointed Beas isn't a clear-cut all-star and franchise player, he was still the 2nd-4th best player on a 47-win team at Age 21. You can't sign a player like that for $5M in free agency, which makes the notion of a Beasley-for-Dooling deal downright comical.
Now if he dumped Beasley + Cook + JJ for cap space, that's a different story. That's $9M more to play around with, which you could certainly use to get a very good player, or two ideal role players, or enable the signing of a 3rd max guy.

BTW here's a good post from a Nets blog about why Beasley doesn't make sense for them. Basically, he duplicates Yi Jianlian in virtually every phase of the game:

Lol, I would still take Beasley over Yi, everyday of the week, and I'm sure every other Gm would has well.
He avg 12 and 7 on 40%(3 more mpg than Beasley) on the worst team in the league... thats horrible.

Not really, Beasley is still portrayed as a kid which HUGE upside, but with mental weakness, and off court baggage, all those things can be put into check as he grows older, its really a low risk, High reward.Plus Its Riley..

More like Chris Quinn for Dooling.
Oh wait, Thorn already did a deal for Quinny.
Sorry, we're all out of D-leaguers for you to trade for You might have to field a real NBA team this year.

this is just a sad report. sad if its true, sad that some people are happy about it, sad that even if its false the Heat have not made any public statement refuting it. 2nd best player on the team and you cant make it work? Its just sad. I wish they would just trade him already, elimitate what we thought was the problem so we can then find and fix the real problems.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Beasley is the whipping boy for this team and its unfortunate. Other team's fans want to trash him because he's been poorly handled and they aren't big enough fans to realize why he's producing as such. Fans of the Heat are willing to give up on him because we want instant production no matter the circumstances....
Devaluing Beasley to the ridiculous level of Beasley for Dooling to get cap relief is absolutely ridiculous and all media related hype and conjecture is icing on an ignorance cake. Riley wouldn't just trash Beasley for nothing. For all you who think he would....well, wasting time trying to convince you is depressing.

Why do you think Riley has not come forward and denied this "rediculous" offer?

Re: Speculation: Heat made a Beas for Dooling offer?
Because Riley doesn't feel it necessary to reply to every media lark that presents itself. He doesn't feel it necessary to give credence to every sportswriter trying to make a story. He doesn't have to satisfy the curiosity of message boarders who want him to deny a story that isn't. If you were told something ridiculous about you or something you know to be comically false would you feel the need to validate it as being false? Or would you expect people to use their heads and realize the foolishness of it. Once again...depressing.
Dooling and the third for Beasley would make sense. Even adding a player with Beasley wouldn't be a stretch. That's relative value. It could go in the favor of either team if that was the foundation of a trade.
