Funny that some people are so quick at completely giving up on Beasley and ignoring the fact that he's still incredibly young...while constantly protecting Hawes, Thompson, Donte, etc. by using their age as their main argument.

If you have a chance to obtain Beasley for almost nothing, you absolutely do it. Ignoring his off-court behavior, on the basketball court, if he was on our team right now, he'd be a top 4 player.

I'm not against going after him. But the more I think about it, the more it makes some sense for Miami to try to just get rid of him.

And he is a bust. He was supposed to come in and be a great player right away. He came off a historically good college season and looked very polished for a player his age. Instead, he has proven to have some real problems upstairs.

He will be labeled as a "bust" simply because he was drafted so early and received so much hype.

Had Beasley been drafted 10th to non-lottery, I believe people would instead view him as one of the biggest steals in the draft.

Yeah, he may be a "bust", but he is still posting up 15/6.5 on 45% FG.

I would gladly go after Beasley for this team. Not at full value of course, but if his value is really this low, then absolutely...see if you can get him for cheap.

Even with all his problems, he would still be one of the top players on our current roster. And if he isn't part of our long-term plans, then think of him as a 4 million dollar free agent.

Yeah, any time you have to say that about a player, they're a bust. Beasley was supposed to be a perennial all-star in this league. But all the talent in the world doesn't matter if you don't have everything going right upstairs.

I would also try to make a move for him if it was for very cheap, but the fact remains that he is a bust. He was supposed to come in and have an immediate impact. Instead he has underperformed and been a real distraction.

My feeling is that we will wait until after the draft to see if we land FAVORS , COUSINS or if we are confident enough to draft MONROE if in the event both FAVORS & COUSINS are both gone !

In the event we cant get FAVORS or COUSINS and we draft WESLEY JOHNSON or another player who is not a big man then i can see us going after Beasley providing it wont cost us that much by trade !

If we drafted MONROE & Petrie wasnt completly sold on MONROE I could still see him making a move to aquire BEASLEY .
