^^^ I like it. We'd be pretty damn good, and maybe Brand stays healthy and averages a double-double.

I'd think it would take a bit more of impact type talent. Something like Flynn + #4 + either #16 or Brewer. If #16, you can then package that with #10 to try and get up to #5 and land the Granger replacement in Wes Johnson. Or, really try and rail on Philly to take a Murphy/Dunleavy/#10 for Brand/Williams/#2 and clear a TON of space. Then see what it would take to get from #16 to #5 with Sacramento to get Wes Johnson. Maybe Ford/Dahntay/#16 for Nocioni/Garcia/#5, once again, clear a ton of space while getting a dedicated Tyreke backup in Dahntay who's immensely cheaper than Garcia?

Long story short:
Trade 1: Minnie deals Flynn, #4, #16 gets Granger

Trade 2: Philly trades Brand, Lou Williams, #2 gets Murphy, Dunleavy, #10, #40

Trade 3: Sacramento trades Nocioni, Garcia, #5 gets Ford, Dahntay Jones, Solo Jones, #16

Indy trots out:
Flynn/Williams/Price
Turner/Rush/Garcia
Wes Johnson/Nocioni
Brand/Favors or Cousins/Hansbrough
Hibbert/Foster/Josh McRoberts

Still with #57 to stash overseas, and Foster and McRoberts coming off the books. After the next season Nocioni comes off, then the following summer (3 from now) is the mother lode with Brand, Williams, and Garcia coming off the books, and only Hibbert hitting free agency. That could be a team that could have max cap space to add to a core of Flynn, Turner, Johnson, Favors or Cousins, and Hibbert.

Cool fantasy. We would be a cross between the Thunder and Blazers on steroids. While I agree that the kings ransom coming from Minn for Granger is what I would need to trade Danny the likelihood of actually making that trade almost noexistant.

If I had to predict the most likely trade I'd say Ford and 10 for Session and 16. Pacers save some money, move Ford, get back a potential solution at point guard and only move down 6 slots. Don't think this would be to popular on draft night but still a fairly functional trade.

I think it might be more popular than you think, Ford is really out of favor, If we can move him and not cost us too much I'm betting a lot of Pacers fans are gonna be all for it and saving $4.5 million off TJ's 2010-11 salary is not bad. That gets us under the tax level I think. I'm thinking Minny might want to move Sessions and Ford being a 1 yr rental makes way for Rubio to sign in 2011. If they keep Sessions he's there 1 more yr in 2011 so they'd have him, Flynn and Rubio, or wait another yr for Rubio.

I think the deal works because it saves the Pacers money this yr $4.5 million and saves the Twolves money long term, we get a PG who isn't TJ and they get a short term solution.

What I'd like to see is Ford for Sessions and the #23 where we keep the #10, but I don't know what the odds of that are.

There was some discussion of a sacto trade as well Dunleavy, Foster and #10 for Garcia, Noci and #5, my thought was that it was a high price to pay to move up 5 spots, but if you take out Garcia and Foster and make it Dunleavy and #10 for Nocioni and the #5 it makes more sense.

Any way I think something is gonna happen with our #10.

Scoot those trades are fairly realistic in my opinion.

I don't think Philly would ever go for it, they'd want the #4 after you got it from Minny and even then thier fans are obsessed with Turner as if he were the next MJ or seomthing.

Then they wouldn't be dumping Brand or Lou Williams in the deal.

Remember the Denver fans screaming about the Nuggs Dumping Camby for a 2nd round pick? If they could move Brand and Williams that might be enough to get the Philly FO to go for it. You know the fans would want more but the fans don't make the deals the FO does.

I don't think Philly is anywhere near the situation Denver was in when they dumped Camby.

I love this idea. Maybe I'm wrong, but how do we trade Granger and not get a whole mess of players from back due to Danny's contract size. Does it have to be some sort of three-way with Trade #2?

^^^ With Flynn , #4, #16 you're looking at probably 8 mill.

Regardless, I'd add Jones and bring back Corey Brewer. Might as well swing for the fences.

Minny is well under the salary cap for 2010-11 they can take more than they give.
