Playing at the same college is not the same thing as playing for the same NBA team. Not even close.

That and Michael Jordan wasn't on the same level in college as he was in the NBA. He was good but not GOAT good.

I hate it when homers overrate their own players, i.e Bulls fans with Gibson and James Johnson. Relax yourself. These players aren't world beaters by any stretch of the imagination. They are role players at best.

Yeah NY fans arnt doing the same thing calling Gallo a "future superstar"

you also have to remember that I laugh at the Bulls any time I remember the days of Khalid El-Amin, Michael Ruffin, Marcus Fizer, Bryce Drew, AJ Guyon, Dalibor Bagaric, Corey Benjamin, Kornel David, Jake Voshkul, Dragan Tarlac and the rest of the legendary post-Jordan era Bulls roster. Lets not also forget all-time Bulls greats like Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry. No, we can't forget those two.

Ruffin, Guyon, el-amin, dalibro were all second round picks. Did NY not draft 2nd round picks who sucked?

Fizer sucked but so did the rest of the 2000 draft class.

Curry did suck....good thing we were able to rape the knicks in that deal.

At least Chicago didnt pay $90,000,000 for Jerome James and Eddy Curry.....Thats about $60,000 per rebound for these guys.

What did I miss? Someone compared Gallo To barniani and you went on a rant about the bulls.

That was far from a rant, Mr. "Insider". It was just plain facts being explained. Something that you simply cannot understand because you have the IQ of a peanut.

I would advise you to take a nice short walk back to your forum because your posts are troll-tastic at this point.

I wasn't trying to be clever and witty. That I can be. Here I was simply trying to talk to this man/kid in the lowest common denominator so he can understand me and leave. Hopefully he understood.

You know, that's something I noticed. Where did fans of other teams get the idea that we expect Gallo to be a superstar level player? Shoot, we argue amongst ourselves about whether or not Gallo can become anything. Where are people getting the idea that we all think we have Durant 2.0 on our hands?

I swear, people always come in with the attitude, "Oh yeah, and Gallinari is supposed to be the next Larry Bird, right  ".

This is why I suggested that someone like KnicksGod, or some other vet who knows the Knicks well enough to make a FAQ or something about the Knicks (Free agency, our current core, and maybe something about Isiah) for newcomers.

First of all, on both sides of this, we need to dial it down a lot here.

There are over three weeks left -- there will be plenty of pieces of good & bad news on either side -- and we can't have this degenerate further. We will keep a tighter leash on this conversation and suspensions will be handed out when people cross the line.

But, I must say that I really feel that Bulls fans are clearly in the wrong on this.

Why do I say that?

Well, looking at this objectively, I've noticed a few of you coming here lately with insults and attacks that are not based on anything but what seems like sour grapes rather than actual conversation and discussion about basketball.

My guess is that the Larry King interview (and LeBron's "greatness" thing on Nightline) have a lot to do with it.

Many Bulls fans seem to have convinced themselves that LeBron was in love with the Bulls, had already decided to play there (he said he was far from close to a decision with Larry) and was even house hunting in Chicago.

Now you're disappointed that he's not yours, at least not yet. Well, I have no problem with you being disappointed but you shouldn't come here and lash out. It's not Knick fans who have led you to believe that LBJ was in the bag. It's ESPN and Mike McGraw, etc., so really you have no business coming to our board and acting like jerks just because you are feeling bad about it. You sure as heck wouldn't find me (or too many Knicks fans, I hope) going to your board if we heard bad news about LBJ to the Knicks.

To bring this back to actual debating points, I strongly suspect that many of you have come here to vent your frustration because:

- LeBron clearly did not say anything about joining the Bulls other than mentioning that he was an MJ fan growing up. Whether Larry had "inside information" is a subject of debate but I don't think so personally. It's fine for Bulls fans to disagree with that but it looks like since Larry thinks he was the first one to discover that LeBron was an MJ fan growing up, he ran with it. Honestly Larry is too elderly to be digging for information. He also thinks the Clippers have a chance. They do not. He's a very bad source of information.

- LeBron didn't comment about the Knicks either, but what's good for us is that he seems quite focused on that free-agent meeting and possibly going somewhere with another big free-agent. He mentions it a couple of times and even says "pair up" with another guy to better the league. LeBron is on record as thinking that NYK is important to the league and bettering the Knicks means bettering the league. So that is all good for us. As far as pairing up with another Max, well that is better for us than it is for you of course. We have more leverage for two Maxes than Chicago.

- Finally the "greatness" thing seems to have brought out the worst in Bulls fans too. But while I do think LeBron is partial to the Knicks, I wouldn't read too much in to that. He was joking around with a Knicks fan for the most part. LeBron is very much a politician too and if someone handed him a Bulls hat, he'd say nice things about them too.

In any event, it's not acceptable for you to come here and be abusive just because you may be disappointed, don't think we're good enough for LeBron, etc. Cease the anger and stick to basketball and trying to calmly read tea leaves. You're not permitted to come here and turn this into a circus. If you guys want to say terrible things about the Knicks, Knick fans, and RealGM Knick posters, well my advice is to stick to your own board and keep it there. As long as you don't violate your own board's rules, knock yourselves out. Do not come here and do it. Everybody is warned.

As far as RealGM Knick posters, don't argue back with them. Let the moderators take care of it. We won't let this get into a mud-slinging match so if you fight back, you'll be disciplined too.

Thanks.

This is true. I for one do not think Gallo is a superstar in the making and I doubt too many posters here do. We're excited about the future he may have but we don't know how good he will be and I for one don't see superstar at all. I am far from convinced that he's an All-Star in the making but I do think he can be a very good 3rd piece.

One more substantive point/question on the LK interview:

If LeBron was so in love with Derrick Rose as his second in command, then why did he seem so focused on pairing up with another free-agent?

A. He knows the Bulls only have one Max slot, and

B. If he thought that Rose was his man, then I don't think he'd have spoken as much as he did about playing with another free-agent next season; you'd think he'd be more than satisfied with Rose, and that's what the ESPN talking heads were trying to convince us of.

Just pointing out some facts and logic here that don't, to me, mesh with him being very interested in the Bulls.

Dude relax...Take a deep breath. THIS IS THE KNICKS FORUM. If you don't like whats being said about your beloved Bulls, then GO BACK TO THE BULLS forum. If you just wanna read about how great the bulls are, and the Lebron will a bull etc etc, then the Bulls Forum is where you wanna be at, not here.

Regardless, please stop insulting Knicks fans on the knicks board. It'd be a shame to have this epic thread get highjacked by some jerk bulls fan

The one max slot is the bulls biggest obstacle for signing LBJ IMO. Lebron said he wants to bring someone with him. Unless the Bulls can unload Deng or HInrich, how does that happen?

Very simply, there is no way. They have to unload Hinrich/Deng. And unless they trade Noah, it has to be Deng, who has the far worse contract. If they do Noah and Hinrich, they get closer to minor pieces to make a deal that affords them a Max contract. But if Noah is not in it, I think the numbers would never workout unless Deng is included.

To me, that leaves them in a very tough spot.
