Now the refs are making up for it with some cheap calls.

Niemi was screwed over by his team throwing pucks away all night and not getting back on defense.

I am never one to blame officiating and I'm not tonight, the Hawks played like garbage and deserved to lose. But my God, how many no calls are the Flyers going to get? I've never seen so many cross checks in my life go unpunished. One of the least penalized teams in the league in the regular season against the most penalized team in the league, yet apparently the Flyers have become disciplined. Really frustrating.

The officials weren't bad tonight but over this series it's been pathetic. But you can't blame the refs for the way the Hawks have played.

You can't blame the refs, but I think if this series was called right down the middle and all those crosschecks were actually called, you'd see a totally different Chicago team. It's hard to get in a groove when you're never getting on the PP and when you do it's once a game, if even.

Bettman says Pronger doesn't cross the line? What an idiot... lol.

He's probably still mad that he got owned by Maclean. I still wish Don Cherry was on the segment; Bettman would've never got a word in.

A new drinking game should be taking a shot after hearing '...and Niemi has no idea where the puck is.'
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

He has no care for the puck after he makes the initial save.

Entertaining game regardless. That hit to Pronger got the crowd going crazy.

He's brutal in general, his rebound control is the worst I've seen in a long, long time and his reflexes thereafter are total garbage. You put a capable goalie behind this Chicago team and the series would've been over already.

It's a shame Chicago's so pressed up against the cap; there were rumors of a trade between Montreal and Chicago near the deadline of Seabrook, Niemi and Sharp for Price and the Kostitsyns. I'd just as easily switch the deal Seabrook, Hjalmarsson and Sharp for Halak and the Sisters if Chicago wanted a goalie that bad. As great as Halak was this run, he did run out of steam big time and once he wasn't stopping every shot in sight, his confidence crashed. And I don't think we'd get that far again riding Halak next year unless we make huge changes to the defense in front of him.

Regardless, there's so many players on Chicago that I'd love to see in Montreal.

It's kind of sad that this'll be the only run this group of Blackhawks will have together. It should be a pretty different team next year.

Still have the core locked up for a few years (Kane, Toews, Keith, Hossa, Campbell).

I don't know about that; most of their core and important guys are locked up. Unless they start making a bunch of trades, their main free agents are Hjalmarsson, Eager, Burish, Ladd, Madden and Niemi.

Chicago needs to worry more about in two years time, when Seabrook, Buffy, Kopecky, Sopel and Brouwer are up.

It's been rumored ever since Hossa signed that if Chicago needed to cut costs, it would start at Sharp and Seabrook. It's because of that that I'd fricken love to see a deal with Montreal landing those two for one of our goalies and the Sisters.

The Hawks also have a prospect named Kyle Beach coming up who's supposed to be pretty good if he can stay under control. I'm more worried about winning a Stanley Cup this year though then our future.

It wouldn't start with Seabrook. Sharp, Versteeg and Byfuglien are the names to watch. Personally I hope Versteeg is gone and Sharp and Byfuglien are kept. For all the good pieces Dale Tallon put into place, he certainly screwed the team over with idiotic salary moves.

Anyone want Huet? Anyone? Please?

I'm looking into my Cristobal and I see no takers.

How do you like that pun, John Smoltz?

Didn't you guys have a chance to unload him on Toronto last season and decided not to?

The only reason the Flyers are in this series is because of the refs. Terrible call on Sopel. If the NHL isn't going to call this fairly, then why bother playing this game? Let's just play game 7.

Niemi and the refs prevented this from being a sweep. You put a capable NHL goalie in nets and a ref that'll call Pronger on all his bull**** and Philly doesn't have a chance.

Man, Patrick Sharp is an absolute stud. This guy deserves so much more praise than he (doesn't) get(s).
