Scouts had contact with his team and his team wants buyout money more than they want Motiejunas.

Didn't know that dontatas had contract issues, after the rubio thing I think teams will be more hesitant so he probably falls a bit further then but I maintain that Detroit would take Monroe over aldrich simply because of his ceiling being so much higher. And Patterson goes before Davis because he's a much more NBA ready prospect and the team he goes to is looking to compete sooner rather than later.
The dontatas motiejunas thing really screws up the draft though his contract issues would certainly
make him a lower pickwhich would change what is available at each consecutive pick. I'll get back with a fixed update.
I tend to agree with that.
And I don't know the specifics of Montijunas's contract situation, but I had heard he just inked an extention or something.

Re: longfellow mockdraft
1. Nets Wall.....No explanation
2. Twolves....Turner....No explanation
3. Kings..... Cousins Kings take the big potential guy. He's a position of need and has the ability to be an all star in the league.
4. Warriors..... Favors Warriors go with favors who should be a nice fit, he could become their center and would make a nice combo with Randolph his athleticism should be shown off well in a full court offense, Curry will make Favors look like a star from the get go.
5. Wizards.... Wes Johnson They go with the BPA and he fits in well with what the team will need. His potential is a little more limited than some of the others in this draft but he seems to be a SF/SG version of Shawn Marion
6. 76er's...Ekpe Udoh Udoh is looking to be a steal, he's a 2 way player and has fantastic instincts on the defensive end of the court with a growing offensive game, His level of mobility will be a major plus when playing next to Thabeet and Brand. He has plenty of potential and I feel he has one of the surest games to translate to the NBA.
7. Pistons....Monroe High upside guy seems to me to be a guy somewhere between Kevin Love and Paul gasol. I think he has the potential to be a fantastic offensive PF with some defensive potential, not a fantastic defensive player but still solid.
8. Clippers.....Aminu They need a SF and he's the best available he's also a high upside guy I think he could be a potential Josh Smith type.
9. Jazz....Xavier Henry The jazz are still in win now mode so they take the guy who best fits their current plans. Henry has decent potential, makes me thing of a strong and powerful version of Kevin Martin, my guess is that makes him a better overall player.
10. Pacers...Ed Davis Pacers take the High risk High reward guy. he could be fantastic but i get the feeling that he never reaches his potential. But, If he does he will be fantastic. His level of athleticism and mobility are a good fit next to Hibbert.
11. Hornets.... Patterson a more than ready player, Patterson will be a very productive player and playing next to guys like Okafor and Paul will make the game easier for him.
12. Grizzles.... jan vesley High upside SF can also play back up Pf should be solid insurance incase Gay doesn't resign. Has fantastic potential as a defensive stopper.
13. Toronto....Aldrich Toronto has their Wet dream come true. His defensive ability is the perfect compliment to both bosh and Bargs. Even if the raptors lose Bosh they have a fantastic young front court.
14. Rockets....Motiejunas Apparently He has contract issues so he falls a little here but His talent and potential are fantastic they can't let him slip any further and he's a huge steal at this point. He has enough potential to be a top 6 pick but falls because of the contract issues.

Re: longfellow mockdraft updated5/23/10
This one is based on the idea that no trades occur.
1.Wiz- Wall
2.Philly-Turner
3.Nets-Favors....He just fits too well, He is a great compliment to Lopez and should make the game easier on the defensive end for the other guys on the court.
4.Twolves-W Johnson...They don't need another big man that duplicates Al Jefferson, and Wes Johnson would be a perfect fit. Johnson is also talented enough to warrant this pick since Cousins is not a sure thing and has questionable character.
5.Kings-Cousins....Best possible outcome for the kings. He has his risks but the rewards could be great. He also fits all their needs.
6.Warriors-Aminu...He is a josh smith type guy and could be a very good fit. His combination of explosiveness and defense would make him easy to slot in at PF or SF.
7.Pistons-Monroe...They are in a situation where they can't afford to draft on need alone they need talent at the post positions and while Aldrich seems a great fit they go with the higher upside guy here.
8.Clippers-James Anderson...Suprise pick here. Anderson has more talent than alot of people think and he could be excellent in the clippers offense. I envision a player similar to Joe Johnson being able to play either position.
9.Jazz-Udoh...The jazz look for a replacement for boozer because they don't think they can resign him. Udoh may actually feel like an upgrade due to his penchant to play good defense and rarely bite on the fake. His impact should be felt immediately from a bench role and quickly grow into a starter.
10.Pacers-Pattrick Patterson...solid fit here with plenty of talent. Should slot in well as a starting PF as Murphy gets move out.
11.Hornets-Aldrich-Aldrich fell but could easily have been taken by any of the teams ahead because he has the talent and skill set to deserve it. but since he fell here and the Hornets have been looking to get rid of Okafor's salary this is a perfect fit for them.
12.Grizzles-Motiejunas...high upside pick. they don't have any need for any of the other players worth this pick so they decide to spend it on a high upside project.
13.Raptors-Whiteside...With bosh exiting Whiteside and his defense seems like a logical choice, the potential talent level is also excellent.
14.Rockets-Ed Davis....Seems like a high upside pick to me. the rockets may need to start rebuilding their bigman rotation in case yao never makes it back to starting in the NBA.

Re: longfellow mockdraft
I would be fine with this since then the Bucks at 15 can take Paul George. I think he will end being the Clippers selection at #8. Ed Davis is the big I could see dropping out of the lottery.
Trade S. Jackson soon. NJ seems like a nice place for him.

Re: longfellow mockdraft
I feel like Anderson is just climbing up the draft boards faster than George. I think George would be a fine choice. But Anderson seems like he could be great as a recipient of passes coming off screens and in the spot up shooting role.

I think the Clipps would take George over Anderson.

Agree. The Clippers would probably take George if given a choice between the 2. He'd fit right in with the Clippers with his ability to shoot and still has plenty of potential since he's still quite young.

Re: longfellow mockdraft updated 6/5/10
1. Wiz- John Wall
2. Philly- Favors- He just fits everything they need and he isn't yet another wing player. I think the Need for a big man is great enough that they ultimately pass on favors who would just add to the glut of wing players. Also the talent difference isn't likely to be vast.
3. Nets- Turner- he's the perfect fit and he falls right into their laps.
4. Minnesota- Wes Johnson-They take the best possible fit that is left over, they pass on cousins because he's too similar to Jefferson. Johnson makes a huge impact immediately with his shooting and defense from the sf spot.
5. Kings- Cousins- Kings take the risk and plunge. He could be fantastic both in fit and talent level, but there are also big risks with reported attitude issues and his weight.
6. Warriors- Monroe-The warriors constantly have talented guards but they need solutions at their big positions and monroe looks like a great fit talent wise and should do well in their offense as a multi skilled big man.
7. Pistons- Aldrich-It almost seems that he is destined to end up with the pistons. He is everything that they need and should fall to them.
8. Clippers- paul George He looks like the perfect fit with the clippers and thanks to his excellent combine and work outs he has quickly climbed the boards.
9. Jazz- Aminu- With all of their initial targets off the board they go BPA here and luckily he should be a nice fit in the same role as AK-47.
10. Pacers- Patterson- With his excellent measurements he seems like he could turn into a very good player. His bust potential is very low which seems important for a team that is floundering in the middle, never good enough but never bad enough to get a good pick.
11. Hornets-Udoh- the Hornets take Udoh who has a nice skill set for the team and gives them a very nice 3 man rotation in the post.
12. Memphis-Babbit- They pick up a guy who is solid insurance against losing Gay. Has nice potential and should really help to spread the floor for mayo and Gasol.
13. Raptors- Whiteside-This is the pick the raptors should make. I doubt he's actually their choice but that team needs a high rewards type player badly if they lose bosh, not to mention the skill set is a perfect fit for the team.
14. Rockets- Ed Davis- he has high bust potential but if he works out he could be fantastic. His prowess on the weak side shot blocking is excellent and would be very benificial for a team with weak defenders like Martin and an undersized PG.

I really don't think Aldrich is our guy. I trust Chad Ford on most things Pistons (he'd usually right), and he said that Aldrich isn't being considered.
I'm betting we'll pick from Aminu, Davis, Monroe or Udoh. That is, barring an epic fall by Demarcus Cousins.

Bucks aren't interested in Bradley. Sanders or Hayward are most likely the pick.
