Please note that all other free agents - the remain list which is now updated, are holding out for higher offers.

Dallas is glad Dampier chose to come back to Dallas. We needed a backup center who can come in and provide some defense, and score if needed to.

Boston is pleased to announce the signing of Anthony Tolliver. When he finally got his chance in the NBA last season, he was very impressive. He has unique skill sets that allow him to play the 3,4 and 5. He has a nice post game and some range, which will fit in perfectly with our best BIG rotation in the game. He also is a great shot blocker which is something every team can use.

2010/2011: $2,000,000
2011/2012: $2,250,000
2012/2013 $2,500,000 (team option)

Image

Boston is also thrilled about announcing the signing of Steve Blake. Steve will provide some veteran leadership to our team.. He has demonstrated that he is a great team player and will fit in very well. His ability to shoot and run our 2nd unit as well as being a team leader, are the main reasons for this signing.

2010/2011: $2,800,000
2011/2012: $3,000,000
2012/2013 $3,200,000

We think he would be our ideal 6th man and his shooting is the perfect compliment to Nene at the C position (playing next to KG, Collison, or even Nene would allow Frye to usually be matched up on def with a PF, not the C). We think a bench of Frye, Bayless, Collison, Kapono, D.Fisher any Tony Allen would compliment our HOF starting lineup of Billups/Kobe/Artest/KG/Nene.

Tony will be our wing defender off the bench. He can guard 3 positions which makes him extremely valuable to us. Welcome to Hollywood!

Indiana is happy to welcome Boone to the team. We are happy to add his defense and hustle off the bench.

JJ Reddick will be returning to the Orlando Magic, on a 2 year deal worth $4.5m per year. Reddick received lots of offers, however his preference was always to remain in Orlando and none of his offers would have seen him earn more.

Image

Orlando happily welcomes him back. He's been always one of the best hardworkers of the team day in and day out....and we appreciate that and wanted to reward him a new contract. Hopefully, we make some noise in the playoffs with him igniting some long bomb 3's as we believe he can be instrumental to get the fans jump out loud.

Jerry Stackhouse has announced he will be signing a 1 year, vet minimum deal with the Orlando Magic. Jerry is exited to join a great team just minutes from his retirement home.

Image

We see Jerry as a solid signing. We wanted some veteran experience on the team, and he exactly provides that. We also wanted to make sure he made the right choice of picking us since we feel that his years are numbered and wanted to give back by providing him a chance for the ring. Orlando's warm weather also makes him comfortable so we are confident he can live up to the challenge.

Dorell Wright has decided to move a north in Florida to the Orlando Magic. Orlando will be signing him to the remainder of the MLE, $2.9m per year over 4 years, with an ETO after the second year. DWright admitted a large part of his decision came from the fact Florida was his home.

Image

The Magic gladly welcomes Dorell to the team. We love his energy, and really like his arsenal. He can defend very well, can knock down some perimeter shots, and can provide us with some nice hops. Stan also had the luxury to coach him before, so we personally see that he wouldn't have a hard time of fitting in the team's system.

The Wizards are ecstatic to sign Milicic. We feel his size, skill, and defensive potential will be great down low alongside Andray Blatche. There will be a stiff competition for the starting center job between Milicic and Gortat, and each player will have every opportunity to earn that starting job.

Joel Anthony has decided to re-sign with the Miami Heat in a 3 year deal worth a total of $6m, the final year being a player option. Miami have also filled their cap space by adding Earl Watson, Shelden Williams and Theo Ratliff, to minimum deals.

Eddie House meanwhile has accepted a minimum contract to sign with OKC, and is joined by Anthony Parker who is accepting the full BAE.

CJ Watson will be moving east to the Orlando Magic, accepting the Bi-Annual Exception. That is of course unless GSW decide to match, as I've been informed he's a RFA. 24 hours starts now...

Acie Law has jumped at the chance to restart his career by signing a 1 year minimum with the Detroit Pistons

Michael Finley will be joining the Milwaukee Bucks on a 1 year minimum.

Drew Gooden has accepted a 3 year, declining deal worth $15.5m to join Finley in Milwaukee.

James Singleton will be joining the LA Lakers. He will be joined by Matt Bonner on a minimum deal.

Pops Mensah-Bonsu has put pen to paper on a deal with the Phoenix Suns. The deal will be $2.5m over 3 years with $750 gauranteed in year 1 and $500k gauranteed in year 2.

Brad Miller has decided to spend the final 2 years of his careerin Portland, accepting a 2 year deal with the BAE.

Zydraunus Ilgauskus has decided to finish his career in Atlanta. He was delighted with the interest the Hawks showed in him after Washington bought him out earlier in the season, and is looking forward to offering his mentorship to Al Horford.

Tyson Chandler has a agreed on a new deal after being bought out by the 76ers. He will join the Golden State Warriors for the MLE (rising) over 4 years, with the 4th year a team option. He added he was looking forward to playing with the creative backcourt of Rose and Mayo.

Kwame Brown becomes the next Center to move homes. He will join the Chicago Bulls as backup to Joakim Noah. His deal is for 3 years starting at $1.5m and rising.

The following guys meanwhile have decided to move oversees as they have received little/no interest:

Chris Quinn
Javaris Crittenton
Travi Diener
Speedy Claxton
JR Giddens
Keith Bogans
Adam Morrison
Kareem Rush
Stephen Graham
Yakhouba Diawara
Dominic Mcguire
Trenton Hassell
Jarvis Hayes
Bobby Simmons
Marcus Haislip
Malik Allen
Aaron Gray
Primoz Brezec
Hilton Armstrong
Patrick O'Bryant
Francisco Elson
Tony Battie

The remaining free agents will not sign unless a) they receive better offers; or in most cases b) they actually receive an offer!

Today in Milwaukee we are proud to announce we have signed Wisconsin Badger legend Michael Finley to a 1 year minimum to give some veteran knowledge to the young guys.

Image
In another move that we think will make us one small step closer to getting in the Finals, we are proud to add Drew Gooden to our roster. The Bucks are of course not done yet with offseason, we still plan on making non-free agency news.

James can play both forward positions and we liked what we saw from him when he got minutes last season in Washington. He averaged 9.4 ppg and 10.2 reb (per/36) while blocking over 1.5 shots. He brings more defense, toughness and athleticism to our bench. James is thrilled to return to the city where he started his pro career.

Image

Matt brings some more range to our BIG rotation. Anytime you can add backup PF/C’s that can shoot 40% from 3pt range consistently, you can create matchup nightmare’s. Welcome to Hollywood

Tyrus Thomas has signed an offer sheet with the Phoenix Suns. The deal is worth $29m over 5 years, with the final year a team option. The contract also includes a signing on bonus of $1m (which will be spread across the first 4 years, with the contract starting at $5.25m). Charlotte have 24 hours to match.

Most players remaining have received offers, and their fate will be decided in about 12 hours time.

As for Tracy McGrady, the highest profile remaining free agent, there has been a lot of interest. His fate will be more difficult to decide, so if anyone wants to make a more detailed case as to why he should sign with you, let me know at some point today. I think of all the free agents, T-Mac has received the most offers, however the value of the offers has all been pretty similar.

Any input on T-Mac from teams who don't want him, would be welcome.

Does he want to win?
Does he want money?
Does he want both?!
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

He was, but he has re-signed with Utah (pg 5)

lukekarts wrote:Utah Jazz have today announced they have re-signed Wesley Matthews to a 5 year deal.

Wesley is set to earn $4m per year over 5 years, with his 5th year being a player option.

Wesley was delighted by the opportunity Utah gave him last year; he enjoys playing alongside Deron Williams and wanted to repay the faith shown in him by the franchise in committing his next few seasons there.

He has been busy working in the gym this offseason, looking to add a more consistent long-range jumpshot to his game.
