Celebrity fans
Did you see Rambis and Love sitting together at Game 2 last night? ABC showed them briefly coming out of a timeout in the second quarter, and the announcing crew missed it entirely.
I think that's a positive, if somewhat predictable sign (until he builds something else, Rambis is always going to be seen as a Laker, and Love went to UCLA.) Hopefully Kevin's griping days are over.

The announcing crew did mention it, though Mike Breen didn't seem to be sure if it was Kevin Love.

Yeah I heard that thought it was kinda funny, Mike Breen is an idiot.

Re: Celebrity fans
I didn't word that well... what I meant is that Breen and co. missed the implication, probably becuase as Worm said he didn't recognize Love. I normally like Breen, but he blew that one.
Maybe we're the only ones who care about the implications of a player who looked to be on the outs with the coaching staff during the year then attending a Finals game with his coach. That's quite possible, actually... Love is the second-best player on the Wolves talent-wise, but he was certainly overlooked this year from a national perspective.

I don't think a national audience cares about internal Timberwolves drama, I wouldn't have expected it to mentioned.

At least we make headlines every summer with our offseason moves. You see, even Foye had a purpose after all.

Yes. He became my nickname.

I wonder where Foye will go to after his short Wizards visit. I don't think they'll resign him.

Maybe this is just homerism but I'd actually take him back. He was at least able to hit open 3's and he could be useful in the triangle. I would consider signing him. Always liked him and it would be fine to have him back as a solid spark of the bench. Ellington is quite similar, though.

They didn't miss it. They just can't stomach discussing anything wolves related that isn't overly negative.

Re: Celebrity fans
Speaking of celebrity fans, that staged rabble-rouser Skip Bayless at ESPN ran a clip of Michael Jordan watching the Blackhawks game - ignoring Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Skip said that this is a way for Michael to tell Kobe that he's still the greatest, and he doesn't even bother to watch Kobe.
I just think its was Skip/ESPN's excuse to run Michael Jordan video.

I doubt they've heard about it. I doubt many other than people who spend their free time on T-Wolves message boards have heard about it. The Wolves aren't really worth paying attention to for most right now.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Sport's Guy said in his diary that he chatted with Kevin during a break and his uncle Mike from Beach Boys was there with him. It seemed that they had some jokes at Kahn's expense, too.

Re: Celebrity fans
Initially, when Mike Breen said "And that looks like, could it be Kevin Love? That is Kevin Love, right?...[silence from JVG and Marc Jackson]...kobe gets the ball..." I was pretty ticked, then I thought about it and of course they didn't know. When was the last time any of them watched a wolves game? They sure as hell didn't commentate one, unless it was a 15 second snippet on sportcenter in which they talked about the other team the entire time....gotta love espn.
