I am going to the game..............
my wife shocked me with tix as I walked in the door after work tonight.
I am stoked, I went from getting home at midnight and being dead tired to not being able to sleep.

Suggestion: Anybody who comes here and posts they're going to the game either gets tickets for the rest of us or gets banned for posting about it for the jealousy that the rest of us have.

I know i'm in the extreme minority here, but
I wouldn't go even if i got free tickets. I'd much rather watch the game on my big screen TV with my buddy drinking rum and cokes than be in 6 degree weather for about five hours, along with freezing my asss off in extremely long lines to buy a five dollar brat and seven dollar beer that makes me even more cold.
I've been to my share of cold winter Packer games and i'm now done with them. I'll stick to going in September and October.

Are you adrenaline deficient? I wouldn't even be able to feel the cold. The Packers team that was supposed to go 10-6 at the very best is one VERY win-able game away from the Super Bowl!!! Even if I could feel the cold, I'd put a jacket on (ie drink some hard alcohol).

Hell no, i've gone sky diving, bungee jumping, and if i had the cash i'd love to travel the US riding all the best roller coasters built.
There are people out there though who don't like cold weather, but i'm in the i despise cold weather with a passion camp. Absolutely hate it. Last cold game i went to i was miserable, the wind was blowing in my face all game and i couldn't wait for it to end, same with a buddy of mine i go to games with each year.
About three weeks ago i was offered the chance to go to the Seattle playoff game, but i had to decide on the spot, i passed because i didn't know what the weather would be like. I know most think that's being a wuss and that's fine with me, but as i watched the game with that same friend, we both said, damn i'm glad i'm watching it on TV and this Sunday will be legit cold.
I'll get plenty enough adrenaline rush come Sunday afternoon while watching the game, except i'll be nice and warm, along with the line for my rum and cokes will be zero seconds long.
But hey, to those going that don't mind 6-8 degree weather, i really hope you have a great time. I'm just not going to be envious of you all at the game.

I'm a season ticket holder and I'm with you. I sold my tickets for this game for this exact same reason

As terrible as the weather is (and will be), I'd NEVER turn down Packer tickets to Lambeau Field. Sure it'll be extremely cold, but because of the historical events and even technology there, Lambeau Field is by far the best stadium in sports. And getting tickets to go there are almost impossible.
And besides, we're Wisconsinites! We cheeseheads can bare any type of cold!

I'm also a coaster nut. What are some of the best ones you've been on? Have you ever been to Cedar Point?
Never been to Cedar Point, but my daughter really wants to go there and it's for now on my agenda for the upcoming summer. Have you been there and is it as great as advertised?

As bad as the cold can be, one of the worst games I was at was in September. My seats are on about the 20 but my friend's dad has indoor seats behind the glass (club seats?). The seats face south, it was an 85 degree day and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was the N.O. game from 2 years ago. For the first half my buddy and I sat in his dads seats while his wife and kid sat in mine. Sitting 2 feel from that glass looking into the sun was horrible. I felt like an ant under a magnifying glass. We were both dripping wet by the end of the first quarter. I'm sure there great in the winter but on a sunny warm day we couldn't wait to get outside to mine. We stitched seats at the half and within 20 minutes his wife called on the cell phone. She wanted to know if we wanted to switch back. Stuck behind that glass looking into the sun was like sitting two feet in front of a 100 inch flat panel while being under a heat lamp.
As far as Cedar Point...it's heaven on earth. They have every type of coaster ever made. Stand up, sit down, hanging with your feel dangling, drop down a hill or be shot out of a cannon, steel and wooden. You'll pee your pants when you see Millennium Force. 300+ feet and hits over 90mph. If you put that thing in Six Flags it would make their coasters look like tinker toys. That things second hill is like the main drop on most coasters. When you're up there at 300 feet and come over the top...well words can't do it justice. A couple of years ago the added top fuel dragster. You blast off and might hit 100mph. Then you go 400 feet straight up...crest over the top and come straight down while twisting. I never did the sky dive like you put my guess is it's as close as you can get without the plane.
The drive is about 6 hours from Milwaukee. I suggest you go online and get their info brochure. It was full of coupons. They had a deal where you could get a 2 for 1 half day pass. I don't think you can enter until 3pm or so but it only cost us $10 each to get in. So we left Milwaukee around 7am and got to the park just in time to use the half day passes. We then stayed overnight and the next day used the 2 for 1 all day pass. If you're having fun then stay all day and sleep overnight before you head home. It's fun to hit Chicago for a little fun on the way back. Or if you're burned out the next day by 5 or 6pm you can just hop in the car and be back home by midnight. For what it's worth, the travel channel voted Cedar Point the best amusement park in the world. Another great ride is The Hulk at Islands of Adventure in Orlando. The start of the ride shocked the **** out of me.

Not trying to rip on you guys, because most that are complaining are great posters, but from the time that Bart Starr retired, and Brett Favre came to the Packers how many Championship games were played at Lambeau?
Exactly.
This isn't a regluar season game people are freezing for, it is for the right to play in the Super Bowl.
It is history.
I can't wait for kick off. I HATE the cold, but I will be bundled up enjoying history.

I think that if I got tickets, I would sell them. Not because I don't want to go, but because the Packers have never won while I have been sitting in Lambeau.
I went to their "worst loss ever on a Monday Night" against the Titans, and I went to the Christmas Day game against the Bears 2 years ago.
I think I would rather stay home and watch a win than go and curse the Packers.
