If we intend to draft Wes Johnson if cousins is off the board then I think it's very important to get a pick inthe 10-14 range. After watching the udoh and whiteside work outs for the kings I'm getting high on both. The negative stuff I heard about whiteside seemed a little over blown especially after his interview and his work with Hakeem it seems that he has the work ethic even though we have heard otherwise in the past. Also he went very hard in all of the drills. Udoh talked about his defense and his desire to make an impact in the NBA on the defensive end and he was also very food in the work outs not as smooth of a jump shooter as whiteside but he appeared relatively comfortable in the post.

Aldrich also looked pretty good and his measurements that have been posted looked to be a bit off he appeared to be Solidly betwEen udoh and whiteside in the height department.

What should the kings do on draft night?

I think the Kings should throw a kegger while they, and the rest of the world watch as Geoff Petrie makes another GENIUS pick. Honestly, I am not sure exactly which direction he is going in. But all I do know is that what ever player he picks I am going to jump on the bandwagon and never look back.

A Kegger is always a good plan. The Wolves seem to be getting interested in Johnson now. With Martin out,Landry in, I saw Johnson as the SG to play with Tyreke. If SAC has given up on Hawes, then they take Cousins and hope his weight does not balloon. Aldrich figures if D is the key.
Likely it's Cousins or Johnson, depending on what the Wolves do. Monroe.I like, though he's a lot like Thompson, better passer, less of a rebounder.

Cousins at #5 would be the best possible outcome on draft night, no question about it.

Johnson would also be a great pick up, I would anticipate he'd become the starting 3 for years to come, and a great fit. We'd have to move one of either Greene or Casspi sometime (I'd prefer to move Casspi at this point), but I don't think either one will be better than Johnson. There's a reason those guys fell to the 20's while Johnson is a top 5 pick. I'll bet Johnson and Landry would actually complement each other very nicely.
