Just an idea wanted your opinion.

Landry and our 2011 unprotected first round pick

for

#3, Humphries, and YI.

Gives you guys an extra 4 mil in cap space to go after 2 max players. plus you get Landry and a low First Rounder

Change Landry for this year #5. Re-work the details of the package. Put some protection on the 2011 pick maybe.

Switch Landry to Thompson then it's a done deal.

Everyone here knows I am a big fan of Jason Thompson, but I've calmed down on wanting him.

As far as #3 man, there is absolutely know way Nets would give it up without getting #5 back in return I don't think. Yes Landry and Thompson are solid, but the cap space and one of those guys in return I don't think is what the Nets are looking for. I'm confident we can find a team to take Yi/Hump for a heavily protected future pick alone...but if you want #3, like Demens said:

#3/Yi/Humphries for #5/Future pick is what the Nets would ultimately want from the Kings in my opinion. I don't think that is too much to ask for and your trade wasn't bad either, just not what we would be interested as of today. The other trades brought to the board from other fans have been much worse lol so I congratulate you for not trying to murder our spirits completely.

I was going to ask what the Nets fans thought of either Landry or Thompson + 5 for the #3?

I'm thinking for the Nets you need to get more talent (so do the Kings, but...) While Favors (and not Cousins) would help for you I see a Jason Thompson plus one of the swingmen Johnson/Aminu being a better addition than just Favors. Your team is probably going to be more active in free agency as well than ours. Landy has one year @ 3M iirc and Thompson is in the same ball park so adding one or the other won't hurt your cap number.

For the Kings it will hurt to lose Thompson or Landry, but we need someone in the post that has some kind of star potential. We have wings that will be good to very good in this league with Casspi and Greene so sitting at 5 is ugly for us. Monroe, Aldrich, Whiteside, etc just seem like a reach at 5.

It seems like a good deal for both teams to me. I'd rather trade Landry than Thompson personally.

It´s an interesting trade, but I personally think Favors is going to be a star next to Brook. Landry is a great 6th man, wouldn´t want him being our option at the 4 spot. Brings great hustle and energy, can rebound extremely well, but thats where it ends. Thompson has been in the league for like what.... 3 seasons (correct me if I´m wrong)?, and has pretty much been non-existant, his potential level and stock are very low. I think the Nets would benefit MUCH more by keeping our pick and saving money by not adding those two guys who wouldn´t make a lick of sense to us.

Now if you want to talk about Reke...... :D
