He is most famously known for ending Gale Sayers career... but this story is really awesome. Its a great read, pretty long, but very enjoyable.

Damn that's sad, but it's also heartwarming to see how his life has turned around for him. Growing up in rural Australia, we never see anything like the sort of gang violence and rough streets and childhoods that exist in some areas of America. I plan on being in LA this time next year for as long as possible (I can probably afford a month at this point), but I would love to try and stay longer and see if I can help in any way while I'm there. There's probably nothing that I can do, but if I could help even one person it would make it an even better vacation.
