Fantasy Trade Thread

Post#1 » by Foshan » Thu Jun 10, 2010 3:08 pm

So just kinda off the top of my head, having read through some of the Ind/Sas threads on the T&T board for parker, doesn't make a ton of sense (imo) for Indy to go for parker, but if they did, would we want to try to get in on it moving Iggy...

SAS: Parker, Jefferson, rights to Splitter
SAS: Iggy, Dalembert
----Iggy for parker, turn Jeff's trash into a C

Hill/Ginobli/Iggy/Ducan/Dalembert (Blair/pick)

Indy: 10, rush, murphy
Indy: Parker
Parker/MLE-Morrow(?)/Granger/Hansb/Hibbert (Jones)

Phi: Iggy, Dalembert
Phi: 10, rush, murphy, Jefferson, rights to splitter

Jrue/LWill
Turner/Rush/Meeks
Thad/Jefferson/Kapono
Brand/Murphy/(speights long term)
Speights/Spitzer/#10-aldrich
maybe we take a future 1st instead of Rush to avoid the salary hit? If thats the case i trade down the 10 a little, take Whiteside at 13-15 + another late pick SG.

I'd hope that if that were the case, we'd try and parlay Murphy & Jefferson into expiring deals and mid/late firsts / seconds in 2011.

I'd also like to get Hibbert in any deal involving Iguodala to the Pacers, but I guess I can't complain too much about this deal.

I would say use the fantasy trade link, but honestly, I don't think you have to.

Lou's contract isnt elton brands... and Young is certainly worth more than the 57th pick,

I'm surprised people don't hate this trade more, it is pretty bad.

Depends on the filler. If it's a TPE, yes for sure. If it's a bad contract, no. Need to go a bit more in depth for a definitive answer

We've seen so many god-awful deals that the shock value of such horrible-ness has worn off. its no longer worth getting excited about.

I don't think the Sixers can get a TPE and a pretty much consensus top 5 player in the draft in Johnson by just trading Iggy. I like Iggy, but the way the new CBA sounds expense contracts might be hard to move. This year might be the best year to move Iggy. I would take back a contract like Nocioni becuase I would rather the Sixers get cap space after Ed's contract is up and he is not retained. So a big man would be pretty important to get in this draft also.

Not sure that I agree Johnson is a consensus 5. The only way I see him being a top 5 pick is if Sac trades down. I think the teams at 5/6/7 all desperately need a big, and will either take a big with their pick or trade down. I would not be surprised to see:
1. Wall
2. Turner
3. Favors
4. Cousins
5. Aldrich
6. Monroe
7. (Udoh/Davis/Patterson)

all go before Johnson. I think Johnson might be a fuzz better than those guys, but those teams desperately need bigs, and I wouldn't put it past any of those teams to make a pick they regret latder :)

I just hope the sixers take turner and are aggressive the rest of the night and not just happy with turner, high five each oter and call it a day. I want them to make some calls and grab another young piece in here to start this young core in the right direction toghether.

Yea I guess Johnson was a top 5 talent, but now with the lottery selections he might not be a top 5 pick.

I would like to try to get a top 7 pick and draft Cousins. Even if Johnson is there I still think I would do a trade, but it would more depend on the trade. I'm not sure how much better Johnson will be than Henry though, so maybe giving up less for Henry would be a better move.

Hmm.....Johnson's range or Turner's youth and upside. I'm gonna go with Evan Turner.

I think thats good value for Philly, but i hate the idea of moving turner :(

I think that is overpaying for JJ. I think he'll wan a near max or max to come to philly, and i don't see why we'd give up a future 1st to over pay him.

That said, I think that is a line up that would help Cousins actually reach his potential (outside offensive threats, a slasher in Iggy, and a stable Vet beside him in Brand).

Why would we involve War though? Wouldn't we rather have Cousins/Love then cousins/wesley? Especiallly considering on the T&T board the atl fan wanted LWill instead of Thad.

Jrue/Vet Min
Johnson/Meeks
Iggy/Thad
Brand/Love
Cousins/Speights

eh, i don't know.

If the Young, Williams for Foster/#10 trade goes down, I think it's possible, that the sixers try to move up for Cousins.

#10, Speights, future pick for Cousins or something like that.
