MIN Rumor?

I'm passing this along, since I thought you'd like to know. Our insider has been pretty reliable.

Anyway, he says that the Wolves are looking at six trade scenarios right now, and one of them is with HOU, who he says that it sounds like, will be unable to get Bosh.

I remember there was talk right after the draft about POR and HOU being interested in the #3 or #4 pick. I attribute that to being the asking price for the TOR front office's help in sending a team Bosh, since they may have been looking for a replacement and didn't get it by getting lucky in the draft. Seems to fit with the two teams rumored as well, since both are play-off level teams that would be better fits for Bosh than DeMarcus Cousins or Favors. However, I haven't heard a peep about it since then, and I doubt that we're talking about a deal sending HOU the #4 now.

Have you heard anything on your end?

it's no secret we are trying to move up in the top 6 in the draft
just a matter on how?
i don't really have big hope for getting Bosh
personally i don't think he will fit with this team

Portland and Houston always try to move up for the lottery pick. They do this every year. So, what are we giving up? I just don't see how we can get a lottery pick.

Many people will be surprised if the Wolves start the season with both Love and Jefferson on the roster

I just don't see how you do it reasonably, but I have to admit, Morley has pulled off deals I never saw coming before.

The trades that Hou GM Morey makes tend to come w/out pre-rumors. The exception was the McGrady trade,but nobody outside had any clue Sac was going to be involved. So any leaks on Hou trade proposals in play don't come from Houston,so don't expect any actual info from Hou fans/websites,etc. Informed,knowledgeable speculation,sure,just not insider info.

My 2 cents:
Hou would love to move up to #4. But I don't see Hou willing to give up what Minn would want for that to happen.
Hou would love to get Rubio in a trade,but I doubt Minn is willing to move him for what Hou is willing to give.
I do see them talking pretty hard about one of your later Firsts and possibly a deal w/Hou giving cash and a top 15 or so protected future First.
I could see Hou becoming part of a three-way deal,contributing a future First in exchange for a talented young player.(And Hou has a $3mil TPE available.)

Yes, this was from a MIN insider. Morley can only control his own people. But thanks for the head's up. I guess we won't get any extra info unless it comes from the MIN side.
