Anything on the Wolves interest you for Horford?

Kevin Love + Pekovic + #16?

Our starting center for a backup PF (even though he's a nice player) and a mid-range 1st? You're aware that we don't have another starting-quality center on our roster, right?

We might do Horford for Love and Cousins, IF we were sure we could get him at the 4th pick.

I think I'd take Favors over Cousins.

Favors probably has the higher ceiling but he's not a center. Where would we find one to replace Horford?

The deal would then be Love and Favors for Horford. We'd have Smoove, Love and Favors at PF and ....

Favors is the exact same size Dwight Howard was at 18. He'll be over 260 pounds by the time he's 21.

No, he's a quarter of an inch shorter barefoot.

But the big question is: will he grow like DH did? Another question would be: WHEN will he be able to play center? For that matter, when will he be able to just get on the court, considering how raw he is? Seems to me, if NBA scouts thought Favors was going to become like Dwight Howard, then they'd be drafting him 1st overall and not 3rd after Wall and Turner. After Wall, maybe, but never after Turner.

I didn't say he was as good as Dwight Howard. I'm saying he had similar measurements at a similar age which should support the theory that he's going to be able to play center. It's not like we're talking about Tyrus Thomas or Brandan Wright...we're talking about a guy that's 18 years old,245 pounds, with 6.5 percent body fat.

We would lose until Favors is ready and he may never become a center. We'd be doomed without a center.

Forget the hypothetical idea of regular season wins and losses(as if that matters after the last 2 years)...I'm confused as to why you're still questioning if he'll ever become a center. 9'2 standing reach,245 pounds, and he has yet to turn 19. You don't have to be a fat ass like Cousins or Eddy Curry doesn't mean he can't play center.

I like Cousins too...I just can't help but think about Beasley 2 years ago. It's pretty hard to imagine him maxing his potential out. He seems like a guy whose out of shape AND a knucklehead on top of it.

I guess my problem is, watching Favors, I've never seen him as anything other than a PF. Maybe he'll grow (big "maybe" though) but will he ever become a center? And when? Are we willing to lose (and we will) for 2-3 years?

Tell me what you've seen of Favors that leads you to think he'll be a center.

What I've seen of Favors means nothing. A random person could have seen Shelden Williams play in college and thought he was the next Alonzo Mourning in regards to his competition. The position you play in the NBA means "which position can you defend".

Favors has very good measurables for a teenager and is a pretty good rebounder. I would say that his length and strength would compare favorably(no pun intended)to guys like Bogut,Chandler,Kaman, etc when they were the same age. Favors is the youngest college freshman to enter the draft since they changed the rules so it's not hard to imagine him putting on alot of weight in the near future.

Pekovic is a center. I think offensively he is a bit similar to Al Jefferson, with a little worse footwork, but requires less time to get his shot off. He was slated to go anywhere from 10-15 in the draft but went to the 2nd round because of his buyout situation.

This also appears to be a pretty strong draft. The #16 could net a very solid player.

The value may not be fair for you fans, which is totally understandable. Just wanted to make my case a little more. Consider that the "low-ball" offer I guess.

It'd have to be the 4th and Love just to get started, sorry.
