Post#1 » by ATL DirtyBird » Sun May 30, 2010 5:33 pm

What is everyones prediction for the Finals?
Lakers in 7 for me.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I'll go Celtics in 6 based on Rondo > Fisher.

Celtics in 5, i wouldn't be surprised if their is a sweep.

it is pretty much the same teams two years ago, except that Rondo is better now.

I'd love to see the celtics in 6, but I think the Lakers will win it. I'd say 4-2. I love how disciplined the Celtics are. The Lakers are better though, but they got A. Bynum, way too soft. We all know Kobe isn't MJ, but he's the closest thing to him we have ever seen. I just hope people stop saying Lebron is the best in the game as long as Kobe is around.
GO HAWKS.

Lebron is my least favorite current super-star,but he's still the best player in the NBA.

If the Lakers win then the Kobe-Lebron argument might start resembling Russell-Chamberlain. By that I mean both are great, one wins championships and the other produces jaw-dropping stats.

I agree that Kobe is far ahead of Lebron when you factor in career rankings. I just don't think he's better than Lebron on either end right now in 2010. I'd also say the same things about Magic Johnson in comparison to Michael Jordan during his last 2 years under Doug Collins.

Its such a tough argument. Both are fantastic players. You cant go wrong with either one. With LeBron being gone, and Kobe being the only one left, he has only impressed. His ability to go for the jugular is amazing. Give me Kobe to get me a W when I need it and to close out a game. Give me LeBron to make everyone better and to win a stupid amount of regular season games. I wonder what happens if LeBron gets some real good talent around him. Jamison and Mo Williams arent total scrubs but how much different would it be if he had Bosh or Amare? Time will tell, but give me Kobe right now.

I also don't think Kobe played worse than Lebron did against the 2008 Celtics and the 2009 Magic. Lebron losing despite scoring 45 on 29 shots in a game 7 and averaging 38/8/8 on 49 percent shooting in an entire series shows how poorly his supporting cast and head coach performed in the playoffs. I blame him for that terrible game 5 against Boston, but they still would have lost even if he had his typical 30 and 8.

Anyone see Shelden Williams's last 3 turnovers to end the half? He might have the worst hands I've ever seen.

Seeing him do that made me want to find Billy Knight and kick him in the family jewels. What an obvious waste of a pick.

"The Pau Gasol is the best big man in the NBA" camp may have been too premature. He might be the most skilled but he's not as good as Dwight.

lol@the missed dunk by Sheldon in the 1st half. Atleast he actually caught the ball this time. I almost feel bad for him. He's getting killed on twitter and realgm.

We'll see how much playing time Sheldon gets tonight during game 7.

Cleveland would be down by 20 if LeBron played as poorly as Kobe has in this 1st half.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
