Vernon Wells for Jose Reyes?

Post#1 » by number15 » Thu Jun 10, 2010 9:39 pm

just an idea, no substance....... what u think?

Vernon Wells id grossly overpaid even after the great start this season. This might be the best chance for the JAYS to unload him if they ever r going to. NY-Mets r a team with money to spend and their CF could use an upgrade.

Jays get their solution at SS for years to come. Just 2 seasons a ago a healthy Reyes had 16-HR/68-RBI/56-SB

my idea:
----------------

NY-Mets:

- Vernon Wells
- Adeiny Hechevarria

Toronto:

- Jose Reyes

Mets wouldnt do it. They have a tonne of money invested in Beltran and Bay in the OF already and no one to take over permanently at SS.

Reyes is one of my favorite players in baseball but no, and the Mets wouldn't do it anyway. I like V-dub and I'm excited about Adeiny.

I love Reyes, but sadly he isn't healthy now. Mets wouldn't because of Beltran and Bay.

Reyes is completely healthy. He had a thyroid issue which is fine now. He's still flying around the bases and beating out infield singles. It's just his timing that is off at the plate.
