seems like most GSW fans we talk to like the players they have for the most part, just don't like the lineups and rotations. Problem is they'll also shoot down Love/Jefferson/and sometimes Cousins trades because they don't fit their system. So I'm not really sure what they're going for, I guess they want a coach that will play Run N Gun, but not Don Nelson because of his rotations?

10. Love, Gomes, and Hollins for Maggette and Randolph hell no
11. Love for Randolph (post moratorium) hell no
12. Gomes, Brewer, Hollins for Biedrins no

I'd say no to 1-7 of these assuming Big Al for Prince and #7 is the standard.
Wouldn't touch Maggette, so 1, 3, 6 & 10 are an ez no.
Love >>> Randolph and Love > #6, so no to 8, 9, 10 & 11
Don't want Ellis so no to 4, 5, 6, & 7.
I like Brewer, so no to 12

Pretty much my feelings to the T.

Aren't you a busy beaver!

This would be a perfect text to edit, and use the multi-poll (vote for more than one) option.

They are unified in their hate for Al Jefferson. The only one I can see them being interested in is 10. That's a slam dunk for them.

They aren't unified. A few of their best posters don't hate him, but has to fight overwhelming groupthink from their loudest posters.

Do I vote "no" for all of them?

I don't want to sell Al Jefferson low, and I hope we aren't forced to because of some urge to get immediate fit. I think he has to be one of the safest guys to predict will increase in trade value by the deadline, when he's over two years from his injury. He has everything working in his favor. He's young, he's a hard worker, he missed no games due to injury this year, his numbers improved each month since until his grandmother died, and he has a three-year baseline before this season of elite performance.

I am actually souring on DET's Prince +7 deal, and the SAC #5 + Nocioni + cap space for Jefferson + 23 deals, because of this, and at this time of year, people overvalue picks. However, I like to use these deals as baselines, and GSW offers for Jefferson generally don't reach the level that some other fanbases (particularly the fanbases of posters who are fans of neither side) generally set it at. For me, that eliminates the first 7 trades, though #4 seems the best of the lot.

For 8-11, the Love trades, I see Wright and Azubuike as complimentary players. They are nice to have, but won't span the difference between Love and the #6, who is unlikely to be Wes Johnson. GSW believes that Maggette's scoring makes his lack of other skills + age + contract a decent trade asset, despite nearly uniform disagreement from the other 29 fanbases represented on the Trade Board. He needs to stay put. For #12, Biedrins is, at best, a one-way player that further crowds our big man situation.

If there is a deal between GSW and MIN, I believe it has to revolve around Love and Randolph. Love is a better asset than Randolph, and since we are talking about possibly downgrading MIN's most valuable player, role-players do not fill that gap. Unfortunately, GSW's non-role-players are all on longer $9-11 mil, star-money deals and those guys aren't stars. This means its the 6th, with MIN just hoping that Wes Johnson is there (or adding a small piece to trade up with SAC at #5). Love doesn't have the value to bring back AR + #6, so MIN needs to put in an asset (while we gamble on both of GSW's). If we had IND's #10 from a Flynn deal, I'd be more comfortable with Love + #10 for AR + #6. Still very risky, but perhaps worth the risk for a team like ours.

1. Jefferson and #16 for Maggette, Wright, and #6
MAYBE, only if Johnson is available at 6. I would send 23 instead of 16.
2. Jefferson and #16 for Biedrins, Wright, and #6
NO interest at all in Biedrins. Would try to gauge Biedrins interest leaugewide, and if we could get an expiring or productive 2-year deal for him (and Johnson is available at 6) I would do it.
3. Jefferson and #4 for Maggette, Randolph, and #6
NO. No way a pickswap would be needed here.
4. Jefferson and Brewer for Ellis and Randolph
Maybe. Would depend on what we could get for Ellis
5. Jefferson for Ellis
NO
6. Jefferson, Gomes, and Hollins for Ellis, Maggette, and Wright
NO interest in taking both those contracts
7. Jefferson, Gomes, and Hollins for Ellis and Biedrins
NO. see above.
8. Love for Wright and #6
Absolutely. My favorite option. More realistic would be Azuibuike though
9. Love and Gomes for Azubuike, Wright and #6
Absolutely love it, but I would prefer to use Gomes in a trade-up from 16 if possible
10. Love, Gomes, and Hollins for Maggette and Randolph
NO. poor value. we shouldn't have to take on Maggette to turn Love into Randolph
11. Love for Randolph (post moratorium)
NO. we need more value coming back. Minimum Love/Hollins for Randolph/Azubuike.
12. Gomes, Brewer, Hollins for Biedrins
NO interest at all in Biedrins.

13. Love/Ellington/16 for Randolph/Azuibuike/6
I really think GS would do this if we could get them a higher pick than 16 because they supposedly really like xavier henry.
Say we trade 16 for 10 and 23, then send them 10.
If Wes Johnson were available at 6 and we really liked him we might do this.
It would break down to:
Love for 6
Ellington/16/23 for Azubuike/Randolph.

lolz EAD buddy. Most posters on the Warriors board like 3-4 of the trades, IDK if any of them have actually said no to every trade. Overstating things FTL!

EAD?

I think you are misinterpreting what I said, so I'll restate it in more words. I did it because I knew there would be highly varying opinions on these deals. Some were fair valuewise and in terms of fit, yet both said no. Some were uneven for one team or the other, but the fanbases still said no.

Not really. Most know that he's a top caliber scoring big man thats also a + on the boards. But most of the deals for him involve Randolph, who we dont want to part with because defense is ironically treasured for us, or Monta, who for some reason most don't want to part with.

I'd be fine dealing Monta, and I'd actually be fine dealing Monta for Jefferson, but only if we addressed our TRUE C position first. If not, then we're basically daring Nellie to play Jefferson @ C... and if he could do that, you guys wouldn't be shopping him in the 1st place.

People here can overstate it, thats fine... but the answer to the W's problems isnt more offense. And thats why a lot of them will not like most deals for Love or Jefferson unless the value is clearly in our favor.

I find it interesting how a lot of W's fans and Wolves fans like 8 and 9, and how both dislike the same trades. Good thread idea Casper.

I'm one of the nutjobs who doesn't want to trade Monta unless we're getting blown away value wise btw.

That's a fair take. I would phrase it this way, though: 90% of fans across the entire nba think their coach sucks, and that their coaches rotations are poor.

Still, the consensus over there is NOT that everyone said NO to all the trades. You overstated that.

I don't believe I said those words, I only responded to them with "Pretty much why I did it".

Either way, I'm sorry I didn't have my initial statement be the more thorough one I said second.
