Like I said in the other thread:

Protected 2nd rounder and Cap Space
for
Deng/17/Cha 2011/Chi 2012/James Johnson

I would do.

I'd need Benny the Bull to be thrown in to give this serious consideration.

Shrink you are torturing me with all the deng trades.
4 years 52 million. 4 years of cap hell is not worth a bunch of crappy mid-late 1sts, let alone Jefferson. I'd honestly rather have maggette than deng.

We'd not only be trading all of our valuable cap space this summer, but for years to come.
We can trade our space for expirings+picks this summer, then reload and do the same thing next summer if there is no one worth signing. There are so many better options for us at SF we better not be even considering Deng.

If Minnesota doesn't get Lebron, Bosh, Wade, Amare or JJ.

Minnesota trades
Top 55 protected 2nd round pick
Capspace

Chicago trades
Deng

Minnesota picks 4 of
Bulls 2010 pick
Bulls 2011 pick
Bulls 2012 pick
Charlotte pick
Taj Gibson
Rights to Omar Asik
James Johnson

Obviously, this goes with what Shrink is saying above to create a second max slot for the Bulls. Chicago would basically be trading Deng, Johnson, Asik and two picks (or something like that) for Chris Bosh.

I'd do that. Not sure which of the 4 I'd pick (although the CHA pick would be a definite since it's likely to come the year the Wolves will have to give their pick to the Clips). I'm not too big on James Johnson, but Kahn has mentioned him as a player he likes in the past. I'd prefer Gibson, but the big man rotation is already pretty crowded.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
