Yeh I am from Uruguay. I think this tie was a good thing for us because I think we will beat Mexico and South Africa in our next two games. France is going to be a tough game, but we should be able to tie because their team is having conflicts and they just arent the same team ppl remember. We are the best team in this group IF,and this is a BIG if, our players play with passion and heart for the jersey.

What a snoozer from France. I'm not feeling their single striker tactics at all.

Domenech is the worst coach I've ever seen, at least this is his last tournament, probably against Uruguay was one of the last three games as coach of Les Bleus, Laurent Blanc is gonna replace him after the World Cup.

Rooting for Spain, of course!

That was because of Uruguay, France was attacking throughout.

Gourcuff was really really disappointing. He was awful.

And yet that one free kick he had was by far France's best chance all game. This game just illustrated why I don't think France will advance, their offense just doesn't know what they're supposed to be doing so all of these talented players run around aimlessly looking at Domenech who can only hopelessly flail his arms.

I said it before the tourny and I'll say it now, the top two teams in the group right now, SA and Mexico, will be the two to advance. Uruguay has a good D and quality strikers but they have no one to set up those strikers other than long bombs that hopefully find some space, and france, well I've already talked about france. Mexico creates a lot of chances but they need to finish better and fix that D quick. If they stick to Perez they may turn SA into the weakest group winner in the tourney.

I've spent about half an hour today scowering the web for a clip or gif of Tutu dancing after Tschabalala's goal. At this point I'm starting to think that the lazier option would actually be to get it off of my tivo and cut and post the clip myself. Just so great and why the World Cup is by far the greatest sporting Event humanity has created. There's an energy to the thing that absolutely dwarfs the superbowl, world series, olympics and even Stanley Cup Playoffs, which are the greatest professional league playoffs. The commentator said it best, when else will you get to see a noble peace prize recipient dancing around in absolute glee like a little kid?

Yeah it was pretty well done. Kinda pleasantly surprised to an extent. The Mandela drop was classy as well. Black Eyed Peas are a pure Global music group their music covers almost everything that's out there that's popular. Not a huge fan but definitely appreciate their hustle. Real Artist. A. Keys was amazing really amazing...... with something baking in the oven and all. She's what you call a talented piece of art....Beyonce otoh is what you call a theatrical spectacle.

I think you're talking about the opening ceremony, I'm talking about during the game when South Africa scored to go up 1-0 on Mexico and Tutu hopped up and did a dance and just looked giddy celebrating that goal. Gotta admit I never watch the opening ceremonies because usually they're pretty bad, that's one thing the Olympics have on the world cup, but glad to hear someone enjoyed the opening ceremony.

Well yes I'm looking at the World Cup Concert as part of the Opening Ceremonies. Technically it wasn't. It was the concert that aired Friday Night at whatever time it was over there.
