Jordan Farmar?

Post#1 » by jarrettjackfan » Sat Jun 12, 2010 2:27 am

What would you guys think about the Pacers getting Jordan Farmar? Not sure how we would pull it off, but maybe MLE or sign and trade? I think he would be the perfect fit for us. Not only is he a starting caliber point guard now, but he will be a starter for the long-term because he's still young. This opens up the ability to sign a backup, and then use our pick to draft big men to add depth and then maybe trade Murphy or something like that.

But back to the topic I'm bring up, what would you guys think of Jordan Farmar in a Pacers jersey?

Ok and serviceable, but something tells me no. Watching on TV, acts indecisive and not under control enough as a backup looking for more minutes or starting somewhere else. Just my opinion. Consider others as I think we can sing one fairly quick because of the crop available and CAP:

Raymond Felton (Unrestricted)
Luke Ridnour (Unrestricted)
Steve Blake (Unrestricted)
Chris Duhon (Unrestricted)
C.J. Watson (Restricted)
Kyle Lowry (Restricted)
T.J. Ford (player option for '10-'11 - owed 8.5 million)
J.J. Barea (Team Option - $1.8 million)
Nate Robinson (Unrestricted)
Mario Chalmers (Team Option)
Shaun Livingston (Unrestricted)
Sergio Rodriquez (Knicks can make QO – likely Unrestricted)
Earl Watson (Unrestricted)
Keyon Dooling (Team Option)
Jordan Farmar (Restricted)
Will Bynum (Restricted)
Derek Fisher (Unrestricted)
Mardy Collins (Restricted)
Sebastian Telfair (Player Option)
Marcus Williams (Restricted)
Speedy Claxton (Unrestricted)
Anthony Carter (Unrestricted)
Rafer Alston (Unrestricted)
Antonio Daniels (Unrestricted)
Acie Law (Unrestricted)
Travis Diener (Unrestricted)
Jannero Pargo (Unrestricted)
Chris Quinn (Unrestricted)
Mike James (Unrestricted)
Kevin Ollie (Unrestricted)
Jason Hart (Unrestricted)
Javaris Crittenton (Unrestricted)

I like it. he's a shooter who doesn't need the ball in his hands. could be an O'B point guard.

Farmar is RFA, which I think the Lakers will match him, since we cannot offer Farmar much.

Acie Law had some nice games last season when D.Rose was injured. He could shoot the 3, drive into the paint with patient. I think he's not a bad choice for the Pacers.
