Bryan Danielson Fired !!!

WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT first season rookie Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) as of today June 11, 2010. We wish Daniel Bryan the best in all future endeavors.

- There is a lot of speculation right now regarding the WWE release of Bryan Danielson and if it's true or not. There has been some talk that it's a storyline and that "Daniel Bryan" will be returning as Bryan Danielson. It's interesting to note that WWE used both of his names in the release announcement and this would be the first time that they've used the website to announce a fake release.

Around the time that WWE announced it on their website last night, Danielson changed his Twitter username, dropped the WWE references on his page and wrote the following:

"Just changed my twitter name to Bryan Danielson. The winds of change are stirring."

We hope to have more information soon.

- Word has been sent out within WWE that the release of Daniel Bryan is legit.

Higher-ups, including execs Donna Goldsmith and Michelle Wilson, in the company were informed of his departure before the news item was posted on WWE's website tonight.

It's still possible that this is all a part of WWE "going out of the norm" and it's a big storyline but it's hard to believe that they would work the storyline on higher-ups in the company.

God im hopeing this is a huge work
to let him work indy shows to make it seem legit or something

WOW! I really don't know what to think about this. I assume its going to come out within the next couple of days whether this is legit. or not.

^^^ They can't really let him work Indy shows because that'll be a violation of his 90 day no-compete clause and will be pretty transparent to most that this is an angle. If next week Danielson is at some, as Michael Cole would call it, "bingo hall" for an Indy show, its clear this is an angle.

Dave Meltzer, who is one of the top wrestling journalists says this is part of the angle and allows him to go by Bryan Danielson. This along with Danielson saying "The winds of change are stirring" the exact same thing Wade Barrett said on Monday leads me to believe that this is an angle.

but i dont get why the Former owner of roh would confirm that its legit then

maybe everyoenin the wresltng industry is jsut as confused as us

It's apparently cause he choked Justin Roberts and Dave Meltzer is implying Linda McMahon didn't like it. The creative team have also been told he's gone. Seriously, your company is running an angle where somebody almost murdered the Undertaker and you fire him for THIS? CM Punk uses a chokehold and so does Taker, ridiculous. HHH hit people with sledgehammers, even in the PG era. If it was too violent for TV, then they shouldn't even cut to Danielson choking Roberts in the first place.

I can't imagine this is true. Smells ridiculously like a work.

But if it is true? I will never watch anything this company puts out ever again. And that's a guarantee.

Some people are saying WWE caved in to pressure from Mattel after they saw the angle. Damn PG era. They would rather sell toys than have a good show.

When I first heard the news I thought it was definitely part of the angle. I've kind of walked back from that now and think there is atleast a 50/50 possibility that this is legit. I'll admit a lot of it has to do with Dave Meltzer, whom I trust a lot, flip flopping on this. It seems like the rationale seems legitimate enough with Linda McMahon's senate campaign, but I could just as easily see it as a part of the angle.

Basically, I have no idea what to think.

Exactly my thoughts on this. I'm quite sure it's a work, but at the same time I feel like it's real.

I mean, when will we know for sure? If he's not on RAW? If he's not mentioned on RAW? If we don't see him for a week, two weeks, three weeks?

I think it's a work, just to use the Bryan Danielson name and to further the bashing Cole will have on Danielson for their feud. I just don't see WWE releasing him after the fanbase he has before even getting into the WWE. If the Justin Roberts thing is the reason behind it, then they would at least give him a warning or a fine.

^^^ They released Kennedy/Anderson because he botched a move. There were other things that preceded this that may have made the decision easier but that was the catalyst for the decision.

I think that was part of it...but lets not forget Anderson was very injury prone and that was part of the reason as well.

It's looking more and more like the real thing. Report out there saying that a higher up complained and wwe released him, but are hoping to work with him in the future once all this blows over.

WTF does that mean? Like in two months once it's all forgotten, they expect to bring him back? That's dumb, 1, this invasion angle needs him, 2, whose to say he doesn't join tna?

Ugh, why couldn't skip sheffeild be the one who choked out Justin Roberts. :-?

I still can't get it in my head that this is real. I mean the WWE is pretty incompetent when it comes to making wrestling decisions, but this seems like an extreme.

I don't follow wrestling now like I used to, but from what I understand of the Kennedy situation is he didn't just botch A move. He botched a LOT of moves. Putting a lot of guys at risk of serious injury.

Protecting your investment is going to be number 1 for these guys. No wrestler, no matter how popular, would be retained if he can't safely pull off wrestling moves.

That's how I remember it too. And I seem to remember Triple-H being the main guy to take issue with him.
