So Oakley's mad that he doesn't get treated like a HOF player who led the knicks to multiple rings??.... oh wait...

I don't think of NY as much of a threat. Miami, Chicago and LAC are far more worrisome to me.

As a Bulls fan I would love sign to LeBron but gut tells me LeBron is going to resign with the Cav's for three years.

It's the same gut feeling for me, except I think it will still be a 6 year contract, with player options on the final 3.

Don't know how the CBA works do you?
..You should take a trip over to Heath's CBA thread.

I say he exercises a player option for next year and keeps everyone on their toes for another year...

If he must leave you guys I think he has the best shot at a title and being treated the best with the Nets. We would welcome him with open arms and give him all the young talent he could imagine. Plus, the two newest arenas in the NBA over the first 3 seasons.
I still think he has a chance of staying. But, if he leaves he's probably not going to Miami. Chicago doesn't have the tools or cap space he needs. I think IF HE LEAVES (which he might not) that he would go to the Nets or Knicks. But, we shall see in a few days.

Chicago doesn't have the tools or cap space he needs? What?
And NJ Does being a 12 win team and NYK's biggest draw outside of actually being NYK is Danillo Gallinari? Please.
Not that I think LeBron is going to leave - but atleast put forth factual statments than people's emotional responses.

Deepness,
I think Lebron needs a scoring star big man to play with. Unfortunately, the Bulls do not have this at this time. They have not had one since before you were born. But, the Nets do. The Knicks do not right now but might if they sign one. The Bulls cannot sign Lebron and a big man other than Boozer(A BIG IF HE DOESNT DEMAND THE MAX (which he will)). I am unsure if Lebron will play with Boozer regardless.
That makes this a factual argument that is not based on emotion. You guys have pretty much already locked up Joe Johnson for several reasons. But, I think you will make a trade and get rid of Hinrich within a few weeks maybe before the draft. Don't get me wrong. Just because you don't get LBJ doesn't mean you don't have a great future.

Lebron doesn't need a great scoring big man to win.
Plus it's silly to think that the Bulls couldn't trade for one after signing Lebron to a 3 year deal.
Deng/Hinrich/Gibson/Johnson/#17/future 1st's could eventually net you a post threat, maybe even in a S&T this year.
Pheonix/Toronto/Utah........one of them will lose their guy for nothing and would therefore take Chicago's S&T in return.
If Hedo get's moved on draft night, I'd expect that Bosh to Chicago is definitley possible.

IF the bulls sign him. As much as i don't like it when people think going to the bulls is a dumb move for lebron and there are better options - in terms of talent - with NYK or NJ, I also don't like it when people assume he's going to the leave the cavs. There is a greater chance that he stays than he leaves for any of our teams.
But I do agree about the scoring big bit - Sure it makes sense to have one and most championship teams have one, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. Regardless I think everyone from every team needs to stop acting like LBJ's decision are given.
The only thing I will say is if he wants to win - if thats his main goal - sign w/ the clippers or take the MLE w/ the lakers. If he wants fame - take NYK. If he wants Loyalty (and try to win while they have time) - stay in cleveland. But I hope he doesn't act like winning is his number one goal and then sign w/ NJ or NYK.

I forgot to comment on this...
I already mentioned about needing a big in my other post, but i'll elaborate a little bit more here. Jordan didn't need a big man, he won championships with Luc Longley. I'm not sayin LBJ can do the same things that jordan could - but physically he has the tools. Yes i understand that most championship teams had great big men - but if you don't one that doesn't mean teams will stop trying to win.
2ndly your scoring big man still only one you 12 games. Sorry I keep coming back to that, but it needs to be noted. On teams where they are doing poorly for the season, you see some of their talented player start putting up bigger number becuase frankly there is no one around them that can. But B.Lopez only got 18/8. Well I shouldn't say only, becuase that is still a really good line - but the point is that youre over-rating your player quite vastly. Again, im not taking anything away from the guy, but to say that "He's a star scoring big man" is an insult to the star scoring big men in the league.
3rdly - you have NO idea how old I am. And the last time the bulls had a scoring big was Elton Brand which was about 10 years ago so it has been a while - but it's not like we haven't had any. These big men don't come around too often, but even without them, after our rebuild we've been pretty damn successful w/o it.

Response: Was Michael Jordan different in anyway than most NBA players? Might he be an anamoly? Did he have another Hall of Famer player with him with dead eye 3 point shooters who hit multiple open 3s every game?

You can't keep going back to 12 games. We were the most injured team in the league, we tanked, we had no heart. We did this purposely for the most part. It started years ago when we traded away Kidd, RJ, VC. Lopez is regarded as the best young big man in the league for a reason. Team USA wouldn't even bother with him if he wasn't a solid scoring big man. Check him out.

Brand was great before injuries screwed him over. I feel sorry for you. That was a horrible trade. But, if you grab a young solid big man in the next few years you will be fine.

Re: Oak: Lebron, stay away from New York
Right The Jordan assement is fair - But in that same light - it would be easier in grabbing that 3pt scoring threat that was lights out than a marvelous big man.
about the 12 games - You also can't shy away from it. Every team has injuries and that included our own. we were on a pretty huge losing streak when Rose/Noah/Deng were all out but we still managed to pull it out in the end. of course I do agree that after a while it's more than just losing - of course i thnk the Nets were better than they're record.
Also, just because he was regarded as the best big man in the game doesn't mean people will flock to him like you say. I don't think he' THAT kind of good. If noah came out a year earlier he would have arguably been the 1st pick in the draft - that wouldn't have mattered to star players though. "Oh I get to play for the 1st pick - Jo Noah" - I mean it's not going to hurt your case and it's obviously going to help it a little bit - but won't be the selling point
Brand - Yea...that sucked lol - but don't feel sorry for me - my team has been one of the luckiest in the past 25 years or so. we had a bad era but we're lookin good right now. no need for the pity sir.

Rose's career is mirroring Wade's career so far. So when people hype up the thought of LeBron and Wade on the same team they should also hype up LeBron and Rose on the same team. Rose averaged 26ppg vs Cleveland in the playoffs 1st round. And no doubt a team with Rose and LeBron would attract a star bigman in no time, and maybe via trading Deng and/or KirkH. Also Noah is quite effective at both ends and would benefit from LeBron drawing attention, get more easy scores.

First of all I know you dont have any idea as to what you talking about! Chicago does not have the cap space or tools he needs lol where have you been? I am sure the milk you are on is full of some kind of medication that has taken the facts right out of your mind. Its apparent that you are a NY or Nets fans to even suggest that (Chicago) does not have the cap space or players to make this Bron move to Chicago worth taking. Furthermore so many basketball experts except you have indicated that right place for Bron is Chicago. So in the 3 years where does he play and with what talent a 12 win team and a team who has nothing to provide any kind of suport to win an NBA title or evn make the play-offs. You made one indication which is he might stay in Cleveland but that do do about the Bulls is neither factual or helpful to your misinformed mind
