Didn't you just sign Powell? Why did you even sign him if you planned on trading him for just a 2nd? These are the types of things I don't like about this game. I hate it when the only reason GMs make a trade is because they're bored....

In his defence, I doubt he was expecting to trade Jamison

^^ I agree. There should be a rule where FA trading shouldn't be allowed barring sign and trades..

agree 100%, this was a rule I pushed for last game. Why sign a FA only to trade him the next day. FA signings should be set in stone on your roster (unless we do multiple seasons)

players sign in the offseason and then get traded by the deadline all the time....

i dont see what the big deal is, he was a minimum player....

minimum players in real life sign with like 10 different teams during the season

example = shaun livingston

anyways, that trade came up, i wanted josh powell for my depth, but this deal came kinda out of no where.

ness, it has nothing to do with your deal, just the priciple. In real life, newly signed FA's can not be moved till December. This is still the offseason (about 1st week of August with our sped up timetable)

Powell is not like Livingston because livingston was on unguaranteed and 10 day contracts, Powwell signed a guaranteed contract (in real life he would not be tradeable till Dec). These deals happen all the time in these games (hell i am in the process of doing it myself). It is just something I personally would like inforced. I suggested it last game and everyone was on board then once FA started commish changed his mind and allowed trades.

I made an offer to GS, so I am just as guilty, but the fact that Tyson Chandler signed a MLE deal with GS then was traded less then 24 hours later should be against the rules since it is basically a S&T. It was noyt intended to be, but as it turned out GS sined him for Miami. I am not calling anyone out since I know that was not what happened, but that is what it ended up being. Just something to consider for future games. Again, this was not ment as a shot at mj or AITN because I know it was not done to work around the rule because like I said I was in talks with mj for a deal

We can carry on discussing this in the Deep Thoughts/Suggestions topic - but in principle I agree with your points here.

Atlanta is looking to acquire a starting calibre SG to complete our starting lineup.

I have 3.75 million worth of unguaranteed expiring deals and depending on the deal could make a pick or a player or two available.

Just a reminder to everyone, can you please ensure your roster is down to 15 players by Monday.

If you are releasing players, please post in the Free Agency topic.

This will allow teams who are under the 12 player minimum to sign some of these guys.

1) No. I just signed Collins
2) I signed him to fill my roster...I thought I was done
3) A new trade came in that I couldn't refuse.
4) My roster became more than 15 players
5) Need to get rid of Collins.

So please don't judge what I do and just stick to your own game you arrogant prick.

My bad, I just saw it was OKC who signed him. Still, the same thought applies with Collins.
