Ideal lineup going forward

Post#1 » by teven_1 » Sun Jun 13, 2010 9:05 pm

J Flynn (Until Ricky shows up)
Rudy Fernandez
Rudy Gay
Al Jeff
Darko Milicic

Bench:
Corey Brewer
Ramon Sessions
Anthony Morrow

(Gomez and Love as well as the #4 pick are probably traded in this scenario, as well as Ellington for Morrow)

This addresses a few things, we get a dynamite young SG-SF combo something we have been lacking (2 players Rubio would love to throw lobs to as well as a fellow Spaniard to chill with on those lonely and cold Minnesota nights)

We get to see how this famed Darko-Jeff tandem works out. Shipping Klove hurts us because he's young, can board and spread the floor but fixes the big man log jam and you gotta spend money to make money. (Al jeff is a 20-10 guy so it's all good).

the real ways this lineup is hurting is depth and 3 point shooting. But hey, we've never had either of those anyway! This team is a very good young team that could contend for an 8 seed depending on Flynns development.

At the very least we have a linchpin SF (gay) and PF (al jeff) moving forward with a great off the bench or starter in R Fernandez and defender in Brewer.

It's a step in the right direction.

Did we just trade the #4 and Love for nothing? I don't understand.

maybe through the sign and trades for Fernandez and Rudy. Unless we don't have to do that.

It's possible one could be moved for Gay (although I really wouldn't agree with it) but no way would we need to use both.
