I thought what they called was the body before the shot. You could maybe argue that in the regular season, but that was lunacy in a playoff game.
Presumably they'll force a game 7; but what is the league's view about the outcome of the series overall?
I think a Celtics victory would be much better marketing wise. It sets up a mission for the Lakers next year to reclaim the title.
If the Lakers win, they probably just sleepwalk to a 3 or 4 peat and the league is boring next year. Of course, the league loved to promote its invincible Bulls/Lakers dynasties, so maybe that's what they want. But the NBA was awful at that time.
Generally speaking, the league always favors the Lakers and hates the Celtics anyway, so I'm not optimistic. Hopefully Donaghy stirs the pot and scares them straight for the last couple.
