If we're lucky we'll get Taj Gibson, a TPE and a future first. Don't see us getting back that much, though.

i'm warming on the idea of Bosh to the Knicks. Lee and a trade exception aint so bad. it might be a safer play than Bynum. don't forget that it would actually be

Bynum+filler (morrison or Vujacic)

vs

Lee+TPE

now, maybe Lee is going after major bucks and it's a **** idea.

but maybe he's in the 10-11 mill range and it's not so bad.

Bargs/Lee with Amir off the bench would actually give you a **** ton of production.

Here's how I see it: Bosh wants to play with either Wade, LBJ, or Kobe.

Kobe, Wade are not going anywhere, cept maybe Wade to Chicago. LeBron, he could go to chicago too in place of Wade, and the return for Bosh would be the same, hopefully Noah.

But one place seemingly likely but not often looked at from Sign and Trade would be cleveland. There's talk of Izzo going there, LeBron signing off on it, (delone on the move, obvious reasons) and talk of Jose going to Cleveland. What if Cleveland was our trading partner in a CB S&T>

what could we get in a S&T involving CB and José from Cleveland? Jamison, hickson, Mo? Could we get Varajao?

Varejo + 1st round pick + Mo + TPE for Bosh + Jose :D

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

I like Varejo, and Mo, but do not think there is a chance that Cleveland does this.

Is Amir comming off the bench next year?

A TPE from a team already over the cap?

Woops thought that LBJ wasn't resigning! Good call.

Bulls Fan here. I was wondering if the Raptors fan base would consider Taj, 17th pick, and Deng for Bosh? I hear that Turkish guy you over paid for is on the trading block, and Deng at 25 years old is much better than Hedo is. He is a little over paid (but so is everyone in the NBA) but we need to get rid of the contract to make room for Bosh and eventually Rose and Noah. Taj is young (really don't want to let him go), Deng is young, the rook will be young. I think its the best you'll get (and much better then what you'll get from Miami) so any takers on this thread??

Everyone keeps throwing this years draft picks into the sign and trades when the draft happens before free agency. Not gonna happen.

It's far more likely that future picks are included and not picks from this year.

Glad to hear it. Seriously, this is one of the better packages out there and it seems pretty reasonable to me. I'd love to get Asik as part of the package as well but I really don't know of his value to you guys.

Deng may be overpaid but it's not like we wouldn't overpay someone else if we had that cap space. Taj Gibson could probably average 10-10 next year playing beside Bargnani.

Trading for Bynum has the highest upside and worst downside. This seems like a solid and safe trade to me.

A future pick would probably have less value. If BC & Bosh decide on a destination before the draft Colangelo could tell that team who to select with their pick.

^ you could always trade a future pick for a pick now. many teams have multiple picks that they want to get rid of and also many teams dont have the cap space to take on another rookie contract

If we decide to get Okafor and Collison than I prefer TPE over Deng. That way we can keep our expirings (Banks and Evans) for another quality player or a high draft pick + salary dump.

Thanks for the feed back guys. And IMO Bynum is a 22 year old with bad knees and while he goes through dominate stretch the vast majority of the time he is an underachiever and he gets all the press because he plays with Kobe. As for Asik he's a prospect we've been weighting on for 3 years so I doubt we trade his rights unless its a deal breaker. If you threw in a couple picks we might be willing to do it because if we trade Taj and Asik we'll have no front court depth.

I have to say CB$ going to a close rival in the same conference is irksome to say the least. You'd have to think if the TPE is the Holy Grail then the 17th, next years pick and Asik would be the package. Signing Amir Johnson is a better option for us I believe than Gibson. With Weems and Derozan in the fold I can't see Deng fitting in. Swirsky would love to be calling games with CB4 again. He won't be calling him the franchise though that spot is already taken.
