Why doesn't he just decline already? Seems to be just milking it at this point.

It looks like he has so many doubts, that it would be unwise for him to take the job at this point.

Thank goodness for Izzo, Jeff Bower isn't the first GM to have faith in him as an NBA coach, or WOJO would be hammering him. Or maybe it's because Izzo isn't linked to the Bulls?

Hopefully someone here will email Wojo and ask him.

and next year, when some other team is looking for a coach, Izzo will again be in consideration.

doesn't look like Wojo will go after Izzo the same way he blasted Thibbaaa!!!! But he's clearly picked where he wants to place his bulls-eye.

If Danny Ferry was running the Cavs coaching search, this kind of overzealous and amateurish embarrassment wouldn't happen.

I guess Dan Gilbert had no choice but to get deeply involved. After all it is Lebron James we are talking about. Having said that, he is clearly not pushing the right buttons, and it seems may have pissed off LBJ with the 100% behind Izzo quote he gave to Brian Windhorst.

Wojo seems to be stating that Gilbert was the source for Brian Windhorst, which wouldn't be surprising. I just find it rather funny to compare Wojo's take on one coaching search vs. the other. Many posters pointed out that Wojo has always seemed to have something against the Bulls, and nothing he's said via twitter over the past couple months seems to argue against that.

I can't blame him for criticizing the bulls search. I mean they knew they were going to fire VDN for 6 months, and then sit on there hands for one month. Then they decide to interview Thibodeau on the night before the finals start at 10PM. It's pretty unprofessional in my opinion. Consider us lucky that Tom Thibodeau wanted this job.

As for Izzo actually taking the job. I really think it's a lose lose situation for him in Cleveland. Besides making an insane amount of money if he does go to Cleveland what good really comes out of it for him? He upsets MSU. If Lebron leaves, he's stuck with a dreadful team. If Lebron stays, he's expected to bring a title. If money isn't a primary issue for Izzo I really don't see why he'd take the job.

Not to mention tiegate, which conclusively has hurt this team’s ability to get a sought after coach and has killed the interest of all premiere free agents this offseason.

If he knew what he does now, I doubt he even interviews there. I think he probably thought he could get a reasonable read on what LBJ will do.

Most reports had them wanting to wait for the finals to end. Is that wrong? If anything I think Wojo showed his true man love for Jeff Bowers by speaking nothing but good for him. Bowers is the guy that gave a deadline to an assistant coach that was currently preparing for the finals. The Bulls swooped in when the deadline came out to make sure Thibbaaaaa!!!! knew they were truly interested. It also wasn't Wojo bashing the Bulls this time, but also Thibbaaa!!!! for not promptly accepting Bowers offer.

Yep. This FO really has hamstrung us. No coaching interest and no FA interest.

I agree, *seems like* if it was just about the money, he would have taken the job (or rejected it) by now.

I don't see Lebron winning in Cleveland with Izzo or Scott in the next three years that's just me. Boston will age, Lakers will age but should still be in their primes. Cleveland should be good in the east but they will likely really struggle to win a title as, all facets considered, they are likely to be overmatched, talent wise and coaching skill and experience wise.

It's not just you. I really don't see them as having an easy ride to a championship with the parts they have. I could actually see Izzo holding out being in part due to Lebron, and also wondering what is going to be done to change the roster around him. He'd be in a tough situation whether Lebron comes back or not.
