Re: Trevor Ariza
If we somehow acquired Turner, Ariza would be a nice fit at SF.
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

Re: Trevor Ariza
eh, I kinda like Ariza. For the right price, I would take him on. Trade Pek, 16, and 23 for Ariza and the 14? I'd do it.

O wow Dewey, why do you have to bring things like this up. How amazing would that be! We'd be athletic and long and so amazing.

And still wouldn't have anybody who can shoot.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Re: Trevor Ariza
Well if you have two main players who shoot 40% from 3-point range isn't that pretty good? Brew and Ariza shoot well enough to keep defenses honest. Plus if you replace Gomes with a 2/3 hybrid who specializes in shooting we'd be fine.

Who exactly are you talking about here. Neither Brewer or Ariza has ever been above 35% from 3 point land.

We already have Trevor Ariza. His name is Corey Brewer.

We have a #2 option and a lot of #6-7 options.
Everyone else is a 6-7 option? Really? Hmm, guess it depends on how you look at it. Love and Flynn could both be 3-4 type players and even Brewer could get away with being a 4 if he continues developing his shot. You must have real low expectations for this team if you really think it's all 6-7 options.
Players like Iggy, Lewis, Deng, Odom, Allen, Gay, and Richardson are number three options. I don't Love, Brewer, or Flynn has shown that kind of ability,

Ok you got me there i guess, I'm not much of a stat checker. I kinda screwed up with that 40% number, I was thinking 33% and brain farted. If we have two guys at 33% then we have two volume 3 point shooters, at or maybe a little bit above average. Ariza shot 33% and was in a chucker mind-set as the offense asked him to be. If you look at his last Laker year, 191 shots from three at 32%. Then 407 shots at 33%. If we could give him enough shots to stay in rhythm, but not so much that he'll be relied to win a game. So say 300 shots...his 3p% maaaay improve. Feel that?
Then CB has to start building on his shooting efficiency, now that he has a base to build on. 34.6% with about 250 shots from three. Not bad! Then you take out those times where his confidence was TERRIBLE! Now he is confident and has his shot set and on-balance. He's going to shoot more shots next year and be in rhythm with confidence.
Ariza and Brewer can be serviceable from three. Like I said add in a three point specialist that can give both Brew and Ariza a break then we're great. Toughness, athleticism is more of a need for us than a great three point specialist IMO.

Re: Trevor Ariza
From what I remember reading a month or two ago, Morey has no interest in parting with Ariza.
Houston had a surprisingly competitve season this year without Yao. Ariza's offensive numbers don't really stand out, but last time I checked he led the team in minutes played. He must have been doing some things right defensive / intangibles / etc. for these things to add up.

Ok, so you are talking about right now? I'm also factoring in their potential
