Pau Gasol + Sasha for Chris Bosh + Antoine Wright + Amir Johnson + Demar + 2 1st pick.

BC loves Euro (Sasha & Gasol),

however i think having 2 jumpshooter bigman (Gasol & Bosh if Bynum traded) isnt a really good idea.

Well, no way he could hurt the summer league team.

Seeing as how no one can get to the basket for the Lakers right now, I'd be willing to give him a shot.

He doesn't look like a triangle player at all, but I'm one who is not a huge triangle fan to begin with.

I think who we sign depends on whether or not the Lakers win... If we win, Fish will resign cheap, Brown will pick up his player option (considering he took a small contract just to play here) and we might be able to package Luke and/or Sasha (expiring after next season) w/ some picks to get someone in return...

Fisher will resign regardless, but I don't think we should allow what happens in the Finals to cloud our judgement.

There are still two big problems that we have whether we win or lose:

1) We badly need guys that can shoot the long ball to open things up for our post players (starting PG/reserve SG).

2) Bynum is always injured and can't be relied on in the post-season (3 years in a row is a trend, not bad luck).

Win or lose, I'd still love to go after some shooters (and decent defenders) with our MLE, and IMO our best shot is to package Bynum + Sasha for Bosh + Calderon. We kill two birds with one stone, and now all we need is a decent backup for Kobe (Reddick, Miller, Korver, etc.). As a side benefit, that practically guarantees that Farmar is a goner so it helps us deal with Calderon's salary.

And I sincerely hope that Brown decides to opt out so that we can get his salary off the books and not be hesitant to use our MLE.

^^^I dont want any part of Calderon.....he eventually going to be backup to Fish, just watch if we get him, horrible defender, no better of a shooter then Fish. We need to work Tor for Jack give them a future 1st, 2 if need be and give them another expiring in Sasha. Calderon is NOT worth the money nor will he ever be, MLE should be used on a multi-facet player like Miller, Reddick RFA, Orl will match even if its MLE, I'm assuming since Barne is likely to look for more money, Reddick will be even more important to Orl especially the playoff he had this year.

Jack is fine, although I don't really know much about him.

There is no way Calderon backs up Fisher though. I realize that he's not the greatest PG available, but he has chemistry with Gasol, can shoot the ball extremely well, is a very good decision-maker/passer, and quite frankly a better defender than Fisher.

I don't think we're going to find a lights out shooter that plays stellar defense at PG because that player doesn't really exist (that can be had, at least). That's why I'm willing to sacrifice certain things for other certain things. In this case, it's decision-making and shooting for defense. The important thing to also note is that we can keep our full MLE and focus on bringing in a great role player ala Mike Miller, JJ Redick, or Kyle Korver. Those guys are going to fetch MLE-type money, so I think we have to work it such that if we do trade Bynum, we replace him with another big (Bosh) and try to get a PG thrown in the mix while unloading Sasha who is practically useless to us.

if we have to take on Calderon, Tor needs to send us some incentive, like their #13 pick or take back Walton....simple as that.

Getting Calderon would add solid 3 point shooting. Its not his offense that people are against. On offense he would be what we need for this team but when it comes to defense thats where his major flaw is. We already put up with horrible defense from our PG so I don't think it will be that big of a deal to us especially if we can land the likes of Mike Miller to come off the bench. Calderon could also serve as a great 4th option. I think the whole taking in Calderon thing is overblown in a way when I think about it now.

This series has proved that the Lakers would love to have a third option because you can't stop Kobe but you can stop all his other options. If you have a healthy Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol you can't stop Kobe but you can stop one of either Gasol or Bynum. The one you decide to neutralize is up to you but Lakers can't do that in this series because Bynum isn't 100%. The same would go for a Kobe, Gasol, Bosh trio. Kobe won't be stopped and the opposition certainly won't be able to neutralize both Gasol and Bosh. There would be a legit 2nd option all the time and the 3rd option would be more of a decoy thing.

What a deal like this does is add clear cut options for the Lakers offense and it would make them an offense juggernaut. Defensively it wouldn't be the best team but I think it would stay the same as it is this season which is an inconsistent defensive team.

I think it would be really hard to land Lawson or Collison. Last I checked we are a threat to the Nuggets and the last thing they want to do is make us better. The Hornets also won't be to intrigued about making us better. Our best chance at landing a PG through trade is an Eastern Conference team.

I really would never see Kobe wanting Calderon, especially to start over Fish. I think unloading Bynum for another big is ideal, unfortunately as soon as we would trade Bynum he would probably stay healthy via Murphey's Law...

Any bets on how much money Jermaine O'neal will be fetching - or Bobby Simmons for that matter...

both deserve no more then vet min. their injury history speaks for itself and I wouldn't be surprised if Simmons is out of the league after this year.

I still don't think Drew will be traded. Hes been playing with heart in the finals and put team ahead of himself. ESPN analysts would have done a review of the 2010 playoffs and Drew would have been the surprise player. Only thing holding him back from dominating the playoffs is that damn knee. It time to jack those legs up with roids.

I'm not against taking Calderon. But only 1 way: in a Bosh deal where LA sends out Vujacic + Walton with Broknum. Can't take on that $ without sending Luke.

That's just me though. I'm not your average porn poster.
