Another dumb theory

Post#1 » by Sloanfeld » Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:06 pm

If you look on Fanzz they are only selling the new apparel of players currently under contract for next season, with one exception.

Williams
Miles
Kirilenko
Millsap
Price
Okur
Matthews

So, does this show where our priorities lie this summer? Don't re-sign Boozer or Korver and re-sign Matthews? Miller, or somebody on the radio last month seemed to mention that Wesley was the top priority. I wonder why they are selling #23 when he said he would change to #6 though. Some lame move to make even more money? Hopefully nobody is dumb enough to buy #23 unless they like being outdated.

Probably an oversight that they included Matthews more than an indication of where the organization is going.

I'm sure they just didn't want to end up with a huge inventory of unsellable Boozer and Korver shirts if they happen to leave.

He is actually changing to 11. Kosta is changing to 31 and Gaines is changing as well, if he comes back.

Yeah, that is funny.

I can give you a 99.9% guarantee that the merchandise ordering guy is not talking to KOC, Sloan, and Rigby about which players need to be on the merchandise.

Jazz have more control over if Matthews comes back as he is basically restricted, and no one can out bid them. Maybe they have already decided that they are willing to pay the MLE if his value seems to get that high... so no matter what he will be back???
