Kahn had a few interesting things to say. He said not to get too wrapped up in worrying about the triangle, that it can be modified to meet the team and that most of our sets at the end of the year weren't even through the triangle. He said that he had not been in contact with Philly at all and any such rumors were baseless. He said he would be calling them but would never take on brands contract. As far as prospects go wall is by himself then he has favors turner and Johnson on the next tier. He said he sees turner as better in the half court and would need the ball in his hands to be succesful, neither fit with the vision of a running offense through rubio. He spoke very highly of Wes. Said he'd be perfectly content with staying at 4. Made it seem like there is a decent chance the nets take Johnson.
As far as the actual workout Favors conditioning paled in comparison to johnson's. He was clearly nervous then frustrated when his shots weren't going early but his jumper got better as the workout progressed.

Favors and Johnson worked out at the same time?

I believe Johnson was yesterday or maybe Tuesday.

I can't believe Kahn would be so open about his draft rankings. If true, we're giving up much to get Turner and we're not taking Cousins. Would Kahn throw these things out knowing that people will start lto leak them. A smokescreen of sorts.

I couldn't believe it when he said there was no contact with philadelphia. Still don't know if I believe it. another interesting thing he said was that Flynn was 3 on the wolves big board. I wonder if he was ahead of Evans or Rubio. Flynn was at the workout sitting next to Glen Taylor chatting.

Kahn knows he can say whatever he wants and no one will take him literally ... he just wants to make others think - hopefully too much.

I wasn't at the Johnson workout but the guys behind me were and were firmly on his bandwagon after. They said it was no comparison, even though it was cut short for his toe.

Not too surprising. Everyone knows that Favors is a project. Johnson should be better right now, he is 4 years older after all.

BTW I wasn't told not to share the information. I don't want to appear as though I attended a secret meeting and am spilling kahn's master plan. I don't think that there is anything here that he wouldn't share with any fan who asked him. Who knows how much of it is true in any case.

Johnson's also the type that's going to look outstanding in a solo workout scenario, what with his athleticism and pretty jump shot.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

So looks like Ford/DX were right. Cousins seems out of the equation.

ah well. with these rumors flying around now about acquiring a top player (Melo?), I've soured on the draft prospects for the time being.

Hoiberg on KFAN seemed to notion that Wes Johnson was the best fit for the Wolves, but his opinion of Favors was that he had star capabilities...

Watched Johnson play a game with NC and he tore them up ...
Favors has the tools and has also shown to be very efficient, offfensively ...
Monroe fits the Wolves very well due to his passing but is a poor athlete ...

I think the rumor is a total joke, but the entertainment is somewhat amusing ...
