Another Sixer/Memphis Idea

Just wondering good people of Tennessee If we offered up Iggy, Kapono's expiring deal, and young C/PF M.Speights for OJ Mayo & Zach Randolph, would there be interest ? I know Zach is a expiring deal as well. But after his recent off the court antics, I would think that Memphis would not want him anywhere near Memphis this season. Anyways, just wondering, thanks

Who will play SG for the Grizzlies? Why would they commit so much money to Iggy? I think they would pass.

Never know with the Grizzlies though.

Iggy would be a good fit if he were on Lou Williams contract but the Grizz have too many deals coming up this year and next to pay his salary when the player does not improve the team.

By the way Zach was not arrested this summer nor indicted so there is no reason to panic and trade two of our best players.

involving z-bo makes this deal lob sidded.

now if your taking an Andre Iguodala for OJ Mayo+ garbage to make contracts work then it becomes more intriguing. Iggy is very versatile and a proven 17/6/6 guy. However Iggy has probably come close to peaking. A borderline all-star player if on a good team. OJ on the other had has superstar potential 27/5/6 is very possible for a talent like him in his prime.

I do like the Holiday+ Mayo+ Turner trio. I could see why a sixer fan would want that,
however pass Mayo -Gasol is going to be like Kobe-Gasol in 2 seasons.

What's your long term plan with Thabeet? I'd imagine Gasol is going to be signed to a long-term extension. If so does that mean Thabeet will be available?

They will probably keep him for the four years on his rookie deal. He's probably going to be used as a backup the majority of the time, so signing Gasol for the long term wouldn't change Thabeet's situation.
